Jodie Sweetin has confirmed her Dancing with the Stars participation and also revealed the pro dancer she's been paired up with for Season 22.

During a Wednesday appearance on Good Morning America, the 34-year-old Fuller House star explained she's been wanting to compete on Dancing with the Stars for a while now but the timing has never been right.

"I would have loved to do it in the past, but it was a huge scheduling conflict with Fuller House at the time, so I wasn't able to do it. But I'm a huge fan of the show. So this is really exciting... I'm so excited and I'm finally glad that I can say something because I've been keeping it all bottled up!" Sweetin said.

Dancing with the Stars favorites Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Val Chmerkovskiy recently appeared on an episode of Fuller House during which Sweetin's character Stephanie Tanner danced at a club with Val as her big sister on the show, DJ Tanner played by Candace Cameron Bure -- who previously competed on Season 18 of DWTS -- was breaking it down with Maksim.

Val gave Sweetin a taste of what she can expect on Dancing with the Stars.

"I was like, 'I love this! I want to do this, I want to do this for sure.' So it definitely helped set things up," Sweetin said.

Cameron Bure, who finished in third place on her season with pro Mark Ballas, apparently gave Sweetin some advice about the ABC reality dancing competition.

"She's been really great and excited for me and has shared with me that this is going to be one of the most exciting, overwhelming, like, physically and mentally-demanding things that I'll ever do, but that it's incredibly worth it," Sweetin explained.

Sweetin is the first cast member officially announced for Dancing with the Stars' lineup. She also gave away that she's been partnered with Keo Motsepe for the show and they've already rehearsed together for a few days now.

"It's so fun. It's so fun," Sweetin said of her experience thus far. "We got through some basic moves of several different styles of dance and just had a lot of fun with it. He and I get along really well. And he's so excited that maybe he'll have a chance to make it past like Week 3 or 4. He's a phenomenal dancer and just such a doll."

Motsepe joined Dancing with the Stars as a pro back in 2014 for Season 19. He's never finished higher than eleventh place, and he was actually the first pro eliminated from two of his three seasons.

Sweetin also admitted on GMA that she's "always loved to dance" and that's part of the reason why dancing was incorporated into her character Stephanie as a young girl on the original series Full House.

"I danced growing up -- not as much as I would've liked to," Sweetin said. "I definitely don't call myself a professional, but I do have some experience and I have some rhythm, so I think I'll be okay."

Sweetin is newly engaged with two daughters. The actress called her fiance "incredibly supportive" of her Dancing with the Stars opportunity and "so excited."

"He was like, 'Come show me your moves,' and I was like, 'No I'm tired,'" Sweetin sighed before laughing.

"I mentioned it very briefly to [my kids] because they're eight and five so they're sort of untrustworthy with secrets. I told them, 'Mommy might be doing this little dancing show thing.' But now I can go home and be like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, here's pictures and here's all the stuff!'"

Sweetin predicts her daughters will come to rehearsals as well as tapings and be "very excited" -- mostly just about the pretty costumes though.

News of Sweetin's Dancing with the Stars involvement leaked in early February.

The rest of Dancing with the Stars' cast will officially be revealed Tuesday, March 8 on Good Morning America. Season 22 of DWTS premieres Monday, March 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
