Sony Pictures announced additional casting for The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event on Friday. Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood and Mia McKenna-Bruce will play women in the Beatles' lives.

Sawai, who recently appeared in Shogun, will play Yoko Ono, wife and widow of John Lennon. Four-time Oscar nominee Ronan will play Linda McCartney.

Wood, who recently appeared in The White Lotus Season 3, will play Pattie Boyd, a model who appeared in A Hard Day's Night and married George Harrison. McKenna-Bruce, who starred in How to Have Sex, will play Maureen Cox, who married Ringo Starr for 10 years and had three children with him.

Director Sam Mendes previously cast Harris Dickinson as Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Starr, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney and Joseph Quinn as Harrison.

Each of the four films will focus on one of the Beatles band members. Of the four women, Mendes said in a statement, "Maureen, Linda, Yoko and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right."

The films, which obtained full life story and music rights from the band, will be released in 2028.Casting is still underway for the roles of Cynthia Lennon, Brian Epstein, George Martin and Ravi Shankar.
