The recipient of Katie's special rose was Greg Grippo, a 27-year-old marketing sales representative from Edison, NJ, according to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone.

When the show airs, the coveted First Impression Rose will enable Greg to feel confident in pursuing a relationship with the 30-year-old bank marketing manager from Lynnwood, WA.

Not only will the rose keep Greg safe from elimination on Night 1, but he will also be able to relax during the season's first Rose Ceremony and not have to anxiously await his name being called among the season's other bachelors.

By the end of Night 1, ABC says Katie will have narrowed down her 30 bachelors to 23 suitors.

According to the network, Greg is "the full package" in that he's "handsome, kind, vulnerable and serious about wanting to settle down." (Click here to read more facts about Katie's frontrunner bachelor, Greg).

Fans will find out how Greg upped his game when The Bachelorette's seventeenth season premieres Monday, June 7 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Based on the pattern of previous The Bachelorette seasons, Greg will be expected to make it very far in Katie's journey to find love -- and maybe even all the way.

Five of the last six The Bachelorette stars -- Clare Crawley, Becca Kufrin, Rachel Lindsay, JoJo Fletcher and Kaitlyn Bristowe -- coincidentally all ended up choosing their First-Impression Rose winner in the end, so a great first impression can go a very long way.

(Season 16 star Tayshia Adams gave her First Impression Rose to Spencer Robertson, who got eliminated mid-season).

Three of those women are also still engaged to the men they picked.

Becca, however, publicly confirmed in September 2020 she had ended her engagement to Garrett Yrigoyen, and Kaitlyn announced her split from her former fiance of three years, Shawn Booth, in November 2018.

The Bachelorette began filming on March 22 and the entire seventeenth season was taped at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, where cast and crew were required to quarantine and follow COVID-19 safety measures, Carbone reported.

Katie's The Bachelorette season "wrapped a week ahead of schedule," a source previously told Us Weekly.

Katie -- whom Matt James dumped before hometown dates on The Bachelor's 25th season -- was reportedly a decisive Bachelorette who meant business and so production ended on April 24, which was earlier than producers had anticipated and planned.

"Katie was in control and made sure the men she wanted were there and the men she wasn't interested in, she sent packing," the source told the magazine.

After taping The Bachelorette, Katie returned to Instagram on April 28 and hinted at how she had started "a healthy relationship."

"Can't start a healthy relationship without being healthy," Katie captioned a video of herself getting the coronavirus vaccine, hinting she may have found love on The Bachelorette this year.
