Tyler Norris has announced he has a new girlfriend, Alyssa Sheridan, after his romance with Mercedes Northup didn't work out on Bachelor in Paradise.

Tyler quit Bachelor in Paradise's ninth season before Fantasy Suites because he didn't feel "a spark" with Mercedes, but it appears sparks are now flying between Tyler and the new woman in his life.

Tyler hard launched his relationship with Alyssa via Instagram Stories shortly after the Bachelor in Paradise finale aired on Thursday, December 7.

"Every room needs a Christmas tree," Tyler captioned a video of himself holding and kissing Alyssa on the cheek as they stood in front of a tall mirror and behind a small, well-lit Christmas tree.

In the video, Tyler and Alyssa were slow dancing to the song "Blue Ain't Your Color" by Keith Urban.

Alyssa uploaded the same video on her own Instagram Stories and added a white-heart emoji.

Tyler also posted three permanent photos with Alyssa on his account, one of which was the couple posing and smiling in front of a Christmas wreath.

"I prayed for someone like you," Tyler wrote alongside the carousel.

Alyssa posted a similar video of sweet moments she's shared with Tyler -- and his abs -- and she gushed, "You're one in a million babe," to which Tyler responded, "You're everything."

Alyssa, an account executive who currently lives in San Diego, CA, revealed via Instagram Stories on Monday, December 11 that she and Tyler were heading to Hawaii together for a little getaway.

"We got a first timer on our hands," Alyssa quipped in the caption.

Although Tyler brutally dumped Mercedes on Bachelor in Paradise, there appears to be no bad blood between the former couple.

Mercedes commented on Tyler's Instagram post, "Happy for y'all."

Kylee also gushed in the comments, "My fav couple," and Aven Jones wrote, "Beyond happy for the both of you."

Rodney Mathews added, "Love to see my boy happy!! Congrats bro so happy for you two!"

After competing for Rachel Recchia's heart on The Bachelorette, Tyler appeared on Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season last year.

Tyler left the show dating Brittany Galvin, but according to Brittany, the entirety of her romance with Tyler only lasted one month and their split was "mutual" and amicable.

After meeting each other's family and friends, Brittany said on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast that she felt the need to pump the brakes a little bit.

Brittany said the turning point in her relationship -- when it went from great to questionable -- was when she had asked Tyler about his "values, goals and dreams."

Tyler was distraught and upset at the Bachelor in Paradise reunion in November 2022 about his breakup with Brittany. He claimed that she was busy traveling and spending time with her friends instead of building a relationship with him.

Tyler then appeared on Bachelor in Paradise's ninth season, on which he and Mercedes seemed smitten with each other.

But shortly before Fantasy Suites, Mercedes explained to Tyler how their relationship had plateaued and there was really no depth to their conversations.

Mercedes said she didn't feel pursued, wanted or desired, and Tyler admitted that he was afraid to date long distance.

"Are you here just to have a little fling?" Mercedes asked, adding how she had joined Bachelor in Paradise for a real relationship and it didn't seem like Tyler was trying.

"For me to leave here with somebody, I knew that I wanted a spark, you know? I wanted something where there wasn't a doubt... like, 'That's it,'" Tyler said.

Tyler confirmed he didn't feel a spark with Mercedes but had been trying to establish that with her, and Mercedes was totally shocked and bewildered.

Tyler said he had given Mercedes a rose in attempt to build that spark, but Mercedes replied, "I wish you had been honest with me about that. No spark?!"

Mercedes recalled Tyler saying that he was so "into" her on Bachelor in Paradise, and so Tyler mentioned, "Maybe I see a 'spark' differently than you do."

Mercedes suddenly felt "used," and she told Tyler, "I feel like you're here just having fun, and that really pisses me off. Now I feel like my time has been wasted. I could've left here with someone and had an amazing relationship, and now we're at the end and I can't. You weren't honest with me."

Mercedes told Tyler that he wouldn't be receiving her rose that night, and she came to believe that he never came to Paradise with the right intentions.

Mercedes didn't feel like she deserved to be dragged along just for someone's pleasure or to walk out of the experience alone and single.

"Are you kidding?! That's so f-cked up. I didn't want this," Mercedes cried.

"I literally thought... I'd be leaving so happy, and now I just got played! I came here to find my person. I want a relationship, I want to get married, and I want to start a family. All of my expectations went to sh-t, and now I feel stupid."

Mercedes -- who initially competed on Zach Shallcross' The Bachelor season -- ended up giving her rose to The Bachelorette alum Jordan Vandergriff, but they didn't have enough time to really get to know each other.

Mercedes simply didn't see a future with Jordan, and so she also quit the show during the Season 9 finale.
