Bachelor in Paradise featured Eric Bigger quitting the show, Kenneth "Diggy" Moreland's arrival, and an appearance from past Paradise couples Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert as well as Carly Waddell and Evan Bass during Tuesday night's Season 5 episode on ABC.

The Paradise broadcast began with the reminder there were six established couples at this point in the season who wouldn't be easy to break.

Astrid Loch was in love with Kevin, and she said Jenna Cooper and Jordan Kimball were "the perfect storm" but they just worked together, while Joe Amabile and Kendall Long were the perfect Bachelor couple.

Astrid also noted Kamil Nicalek and Annaliese Puccini spent most of their time laying around and "humping each other."

Jade and Tanner and Carly and Evan then showed up in Paradise to give the couples advice and choose which pair would be the "most deserving" to go on a special, "epic" date.

The two couples interviewed the pairs in Paradise one at a time. Joe said he was falling in love with Kendall and he was excited to test what they had in the real world.

Jordan admitted to Carly and Evan that he could see himself potentially proposing marriage to Jenna at the end of this. And Kevin and Astrid told Jade and Tanner they had a 12-month plan already set up for their life together after the show. It was clear Kevin and Astrid's relationship was serious and mature.

But then Kamil revealed he wanted to take a step back in his romance with Annaliese because he wasn't ready for a full investment. Carly and Evan could see the pain in Annaliese's eyes when he said that because she was ready for him to get down on one knee.

Carly acknowledged, however, Kamil and Annaliese's relationship was similar to what she had experienced with Evan back on their Bachelor in Paradise season.

John Graham told Jade and Tanner that Olivia Goethals was his seventh love interest of the season but he really liked her, and Jordan Mauger noted he had just arrived in Paradise so he didn't have enough time to develop a deep bond with a woman.

As for Eric Bigger, he spoke about cheese and left Tanner saying, "That was weird."

Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson said they were falling in love with each other and needed to get their relationship outside of the resort's walls. But Carly and Evan found Kendall and Joe especially endearing and quirky.

As a result, it was determined Kendall and Joe were most deserving of the date. Much to Kendall and Joe's surprise, however, the epic date was really for Jade, Tanner, Carly and Evan -- and the Paradise couple were forced to babysit their daughters, Emme and Bella, in the meantime at the resort.

Emme was screaming in Joe's arms for what seemed like hours while Jade, Tanner, Carly, and Evan enjoyed cocktails, jet skiing and massages.

Kendall was great with the babies, and Joe liked seeing this side of her. He could envision Kendall being a great mother one day.

"People do get married at the end of this, and I think that's where we're headed, and I'm happy about it," Joe told the cameras.

Once the two couples returned from their double date, Kendall and Joe allowed to leave the resort and go out for cocktails to relax and unwind. Joe admitted to Kendall that he has a little fear of commitment but had yet to find the right person who could change that for him.

Meanwhile, Jordan K. had baby fever and anticipated his children with Jenna would "come out cute, giggling and full of love." Jenna said she loves the name Tucker for a boy and Cooper for a girl, but Jordan hated the name Tucker.

Everyone was coupled up and crazy about each other on the beach, but Cassandra felt her relationship with Eric was lacking.

Once the topic came up, Eric confessed he just wanted to be friends with Cassandra and not put any pressure on romance, but Cassandra argued that's exactly what Paradise is about -- to date and find a connection.

Cassandra told Eric that wasn't ready for a relationship at all and had a lot of growth to do within himself. And Eric actually agreed, saying he "really, really" wanted a relationship but that didn't mean he was "really, really ready."

Eric felt super conflicted and "emotionally drained." He also was experiencing some guilt over how he had left things with Angela Amezcua. Eric also felt bad about the fact he had pulled into his "mess" and only had half of himself to give.

Eric realized he no longer belonged in Paradise, and with that being said, he broke down into tears and decided to leave the show.

Eric wanted the process to work for him "so badly," but he missed Angela and noted his "girl" leaving "hit [him] really hard."

"Cassandra is such a sweet girl. She's been through a lot and deserves a clean slate and a fresh start, and with all the baggage I'm bringing in from Angela, she doesn't deserve that... she deserves all of me and I just can't give her that," Eric said in a confessional.

Before he left, Eric apologized to Cassandra and said he appreciated her for being herself, and he thanked her for letting him get to know her. Cassandra was disappointed and wondered what was going on in Eric's mind. She didn't understand why it was so complicated for him to get to know her in Paradise.

John commented that Eric felt like half of him left when Angela left.

Meanwhile, Chris felt "lucky as hell" to be with Krystal. He said he felt like he won the "Bachelor in Paradise lottery" because she was incredible, he was falling in love with her, and she made him a better man.

Chris then received a Date Card and he got to enjoy an outing with Krystal. Chris planned to express his love for Krystal that night, and he hoped she was feeling the same way.

During a friendly game of "Truth or Dare" on the beach, Kamil kept catching Shushanna staring at him. He said flat out he didn't like her and didn't feel a connection with her but she wasn't taking a hint. He called her owl eyes "creepy."

Kamil repeatedly told Shushanna he was invested in Annaliese and was pretty much committed to her, but Shushanna just didn't see it or accept it. Shushanna argued it wasn't the end of her romance with Kamil and she could tell he felt the same way. She wasn't going to give up.

Jordan M. then spent some time with Shushanna. He felt very comfortable around her, but he wasn't sure if she was still hung up on Kamil. Shushanna therefore admitted to Jordan that she couldn't get over Kamil that fast. She was being reserved with Jordan, while he was ready to explore things at a fast pace.

Jordan asked Shushanna to press "the restart button" and move forward with him in Paradise, but she simply couldn't do it.

Meanwhile, on Chris and Krystal's date, she confessed she couldn't imagine her life without Chris, and then he really opened up to her.

"Being here right now, sitting across from you, I can honestly say that... I'm not actually beginning to fall in love you. I am in love with you," Chris disclosed.

"I'm in love with you too," Krystal gushed. "I've been a little scared to say that. I'm head over heels for you. I can't even think about anyone else and I can't wait to see what happens for us."

Krystal and Chris then danced to a private concert. She felt so lucky to be in his arms, especially when there were individuals who craved a relationship back at the resort but couldn't enter one.

Jordan M. then received a Date Card and asked Shushanna out, but she didn't seem into at. Shushanna said she hadn't moved on from what happened with Kamil and told Jordan to ask Cassandra out instead.

"She's walking that fine line between persistent and cray cray," Kevin told the cameras.

Shushanna then asked to speak with Kamil privately in the hot tub. Kamil told her that there was no connection or spark between them, nor could he see a relationship working out between them.

Shushanna insisted his feelings could change like what happened to Carly and Evan, but Kamil reiterated there was nothing in his heart for her.

"I just feel like Kamil is not being honest and he's holding back. Anything is possible," Shushanna explained in a confessional. "Is it possible that Kamil and I can be together? Probably."

Kamil hoped Shushanna would go on the date with Jordan M because she was just hanging around him, but she loved a challenge. Kamil thought Shushanna was using her "Russian witchery" on him and had an "evil stare."

After Kamil vented to Annaliese about Shushanna's annoying behavior, Annaliese decided to confront the Russian beauty and demand that she back off. Annaliese was prepared to stand up for her man, and Kamil thought such confidence was sexy.

Annaliese then told Shushanna that Kamil was "off limits" and they were together and he was taken. Annaliese insisted Kamil wasn't interested in her.

Shushanna claimed Kamil tried to kiss her, but Annaliese said that never happened. Annaliese then accused Shushanna of doing witchcraft to try to break them up.

"First I'm European trash and now I'm a witch, like, seriously?!... Call me a b-tch but not a witch," Shushanna cried to the cameras.

And that's when Diggy arrived in Paradise with a Date Card in hand.

Diggy spoke to Shushanna first but discovered she had a lot of baggage stemming from her relationship with Kamil. Shushanna also insisted she just wanted to be friends.

Diggy therefore asked Olivia out, and Astrid made a comment about how Shushanna clearly doesn't know how Paradise works.

Olivia told Shushanna that she had made a mistake by not accepting a date with Jordan M. and seemed regretful.

While Shushanna was expecting to reconcile with Jordan M. upon his return, he was hitting it off on his date with Cassandra.

Olivia then accompanied Diggy on his date, and she admitted to cameras that he was someone she had been hoping to meet in Paradise. They shared a passionate kiss at dinner, and Olivia noted it was hot and steamy.

But John was waiting for Olivia back at the resort, and he didn't think anything was missing from their relationship.

Once Jordan M. returned from his date, Kevin informed him that Shushanna seemed to be a witch and had cried nonstop that day. After Shushanna burned a photo of Kamil in a fire at the beach, Shushanna pulled Jordan M. over and said she was jealous of his date and missed him when he was gone.

Jordan M., however, said he was confused about where Shushanna stood and wanted to get to know Cassandra more. Shushanna then ran away and cried, and even Jordan failed to console her.
