Bachelor in Paradise bachelor JJ Lane apparently almost got his finger bit off this week.

Lane was playing in a hockey game Tuesday in Denver, CO, when he checked a guy and pinned him against the boards, prompting the opposing player to bite down on Lane's pinky, TMZ reported.

One of Lane's opponents reportedly broke up the fight by bashing the aggressor on the back with his hockey stick until he released the reality TV star's finger.

Lane, a 32-year-old single dad and former investment banker from Denver, paid a visit to the emergency room, according to TMZ, and had a splint put on to cover the bloody cut.

Lane confirmed the news through a series of tweets on Wednesday.

"[I] nearly had my finger bit off in a hockey fight last night," he tweeted. "I didn't have a glove on when he bit me! Psychopath behavior."

"Chris Harrison would always have my back on the ice and he knows I have his!" Lane joked.

Lane also got jumped and beaten back in July following The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All taping. He was reportedly ambushed by five guys outside of the show's after-party but fellow cast member Ben Zorn broke it up.

Before Bachelor in Paradise, Lane competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe's heart on the eleventh season of The Bachelorette. Bristowe eliminated him on a two-on-one date during which she offered Joe Bailey a rose.
