Bachelor in Paradise bachelor Casey Woods has revealed an update on his injured ankle following his memorable fainting spell on Season 8.

After breaking his ankle in Mexico and getting rushed to a hospital via ambulance, Casey underwent multiple surgeries and struggled through months of being stuck in a cast -- on his parents' couch -- and unable to walk for more than four months.

Casey recently took to his Instagram Stories and shared a photo of his latest X-ray, which shows about a dozen screws in his ankle.

"Today is six months since my injury," Casey wrote. "Saw the doctor and my bones look great. Now time to heal the ligaments [and] tissue. Physical therapy begins now!"

Casey also uploaded a photo of his sneaker and new ankle brace, which is fairly small and flexible.

"New swag alert!" Casey boasted. "Bye bye boot!"

Back on October 19, Casey posted a slideshow of photos of himself and revealed how bad his Bachelor in Paradise injury turned out to be.

"Went into Paradise at my physical, mental, and spiritual best... left with 3 broken bones... haven't walked in over 4 months, but trying to remain positive... thank you to everyone sending sweet messages... it means the world," he wrote at the time on Instagram.

The 36-year-old advertising creative director from Miami Beach, FL, admitted in October he was a "sad guy" after three operations to fix his broken bones.

On Bachelor in Paradise, Casey warned Brittany Galvin that Peter Izzo had called her a clout chaser and said she wanted to date only date men with large Instagram followings.

Casey wanted Brittany to know that Peter had essentially accused her of being on the show for the wrong reasons.

Brittany and her girlfriends Jill Chin and Genevieve Parisi therefore confronted Peter on the beach and asked him to leave, which escalated the drama to the point of yelling.

As Casey watched the fight unfold, he said he felt lightheaded.

"I just feel so much stress right now... Everyone is pissed off. I didn't think my actions would have that much of an effect. It's just eating me up inside," Casey told the cameras, before suddenly passing out and hitting the ground hard.

Casey informed the medics how his episode was probably circumstantial rather than physical because he'd been feeling "overwhelmed" by his surroundings and responsible for cocktail-party chaos.

Some Bachelor in Paradise viewers, however, accused Casey of exaggerating his injury so he could leave the beach early in order to avoid the embarrassment of being denied a rose at the second Rose Ceremony of the season.

Casey therefore thanked the fans who believed him and had been supporting him on social media.

When one Instagram user noted how it was "disgusting" for people to question the legitimacy of Casey's accident, Casey wrote, "I think most people don't know how severe the injury was, and everyone deserves a good roast -- I just wish y'all knew the whole story!"

Casey also clapped back when a person slammed him for spreading "rumors," presumably about Peter.

"Is it a rumor if it's 100% true?" Casey wrote on Instagram Stories, referring to how Peter had definitely talked badly about Brittany behind her back.

"Wouldn't you want to know if you're being slandered?" he added.

Casey was appreciated for his witty and funny commentary throughout the Bachelor in Paradise season.

Once Casey was escorted out of Paradise, Brittany gave her rose to Andrew Spencer.

Prior to his Bachelor in Paradise stint, Casey competed for Michelle Young's heart on The Bachelorette's eighteenth season.
