"The Bachelor" drew a larger audience than NBC's "West Wing" (13.3 million vs. 13.2 million) and defeated Fox's "American Idol"-fueled combination of "Bernie Mac" and "Wanda at Large" among Adults 18-49 (6.4/16 vs. 5.9/15) to win its time period. Gaining audience throughout its broadcast across all Nielsen measures, "The Bachelor" topped Fox's "Wanda at Large" by 28% among Adults 18-49 at 9:30 p.m. (6.8/16 vs. 5.3/13).

"The Bachelor" again produced ABC's best numbers in the time period since the season finale of "The Bachelorette" in February (2/19/03).
