Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham have "fled the country," according to The Bachelor star, and escaped all the drama surrounding their relationship by taking a romantic vacation.

The engaged The Bachelor couple embarked on a trip to Reykjavik, Iceland. While the pair got to spend time away from cameras, they decided to document their experiences on social media.

"Posted this because I sent this to my mom and she said she's never seen me happier. So much beauty here in Iceland including this one," Arie captioned a photo of the pair smiling big on Tuesday.

Arie and Lauren have also shared images on Instagram Stories showing them at Black Sands Beach and a gorgeous waterfall that just so happened to be lit up by a rainbow at the time, E! News reported.

Their getaway also reportedly included ponies and cappuccinos in bed, and at one point, Lauren told her followers, "[I] freakin love this nerd."

Arie, 36, and Lauren, 26, will reportedly be gone on their adventure for two weeks.

"They wanted to get away from the madness and have a real normal vacation just the two of them as a newly engaged couple," an insider told E! News.

The Bachelor's Season 22 finale aired as a two-night event last week in which Arie proposed marriage to the woman who had received his final rose, Becca Kufrin, and then broke up with her less than two months later on-camera.

After ending his engagement to Becca and breaking her heart, Arie ran back to Lauren and begged her for a second chance.

Lauren seemed to welcome Arie back into her life with open arms, and then about three weeks after reconciling, Arie popped the question on March 6 during the show's live After the Final Rose special.

Arie and Lauren reportedly intend to get the ball rolling on their wedding plans once they return home from Iceland.

"Although there has been a lot of backlash surrounding Arie, the couple is really pushing for a TV wedding," an insider told E! News.

"Lauren has been telling everyone that she is so excited to get married and wants it to happen very quickly. After everything that they have been through, they are ready to just seal the deal and spend forever together... Lauren loves the spotlight and doesn't care that her fiance is not liked by America."
