American Idol has announced the dates and locations of its American Idol Live! 2010 concert tour.

The 49-date North American tour will kick-off July 1 in Auburn Hills, MI and continue over the next two-and-a-half months before coming to a close on September 14 in Pittsburgh, PA.

The tour will feature performances by American Idol Top 10 ninth-season finalists Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Katie Stevens, and Timothy "Tim" Urban. 

"We are all looking forward to this year's American Idol Live! tour," said American Idol creator Simon Fuller.

"This is always one of the highlights of the year. Each of the Idols have the chance to meet the people that voted for them and perform at incredible venues all over America, another special moment in their developing careers."

American Idol Live! 2010 concert tickets are scheduled to go on sale May 15 at 10AM ET with the exception of the Omaha, NE and Toledo, OH dates, which will go one sale May 14.
