The company that produces the reality television singing competition, 19 Entertainment, announced Friday tour stops in St. Louis; Kansas City, Mo.; Minneapolis; Detroit; Tulsa, Okla.; Broomfield, Colo.; Las Vegas; Ontario, Calif.; and Oakland, Calif. were canceled.

The concert stop in Rosemont, Ill., July 6 was rescheduled for Aug. 12 in Trenton, N.J.

"Due to production scheduling changes, the American Idol 2013 Tour will now begin on July 19th and go through the summer until August 31st. The Idols look forward to performing in 30 venues across the country," a spokesman for the tour said.

The tour features season 12 winner Candice Glover along with Amber Holcomb, Angela Miller, Burnell Taylor, Curtis Finch Jr., Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison, Lazaro Arbos, Paul Jolley and Aubrey Cleland.

Jared Paul, who spearheaded tours for "Glee" and Big Time Rush, told The Hollywood Reporter last month the tour would "have to match the public's interest."

"Whether somebody will part with their hard-earned money is all talent-dependent," he said.
