"In what appears to be a complication from a previous surgery, Bo was rushed to the hospital yesterday," his RCA Records publicist told People on Monday. "He is doing fine and is returning home for treatment. He is canceling his performance on the Radio Music Awards and Jimmy Kimmel Live (Tuesday)."

According to People, Bo was attending a radio forum at the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday when he suddenly fell ill and began coughing up blood. After being taken out on a stretcher, Bo was rushed to Desert Springs Hospital, where he spent the night. "Bo is doing fine, and he's going back to Nashville today for treatment," RCA publicist Roger Widynowski told The Associated Press on Monday afternoon.

Sunday's incident marks the second time this year that a Vegas trip has ended in hospitalization for Bo. His initial emergency surgery also occurred when he was visiting the city as part this summer's "American Idols Live" concert tour.

The Goo Goo Dolls replaced Bo in Monday's Radio Music Awards performance lineup.
