'Idol 4' runner-up Bo Bice has emergency surgery, off concert tour

"American Idol" runner-up Bo Bice underwent emergency surgery in Las Vegas for a reported "kink in his intestines."

It was unclear when or if Bice, who was rushed to the hospital before Thursday night's "American Idols Live" concert, would rejoin the tour, MTV.com reported Monday.
Neither reps nor relatives would comment on the Alabama rocker's diagnosis, but a family friend posted on Bice's Internet message board that a specialist was flown into Vegas to fix a kink in his stomach.
Bo's grandmother, "Granny Madge" Schofield of Somerville, Ala., was quoted in her local newspaper saying Bice "has had ulcers most of his life," MTV said.
Bice has had a stressful summer, breaking his foot on stage during a concert last month and last week his brother and pregnant sister-in-law were in an accident on their way home from seeing him perform, MTV said.
