ABC announced that it has renewed Wipeout for a third season.

Wipeout's second-season episodes are currently airing Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT, where the show ranks No. 1 in its timeslot in among total viewers and several other key demographics, including Men 18-34, Men 18-49 and Men 25-52. 

In addition, Wipeout is second behind only So You Think You Can Dance performance episode broadcasts in the Adults 18-49 demographic for the Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT timeslot.

Each one-hour Wipeout episode features 24 contestants attempting to make their way through various obstacles designed to provide an endless assortment of crashes, face plants, impacts and wipe outs. After four rounds of eliminations, the last remaining contestant wins a $50,000 prize.

Wipeout is hosted by John Henson and John Anderson, with Jill Wagner serving as co-host.

Wipeout's first season aired last summer and it was the highest-rated debut summer series on any network among the Adults 18-49 demographic since Dancing with the Stars' first season in 2005.
