In the program, three people, Stacey, Stephanie and Luke, were chosen from among thousands of applicants across the country to have their dreams come true - to change their looks in an effort to lead better lives. Through the skills of a group of doctors, a plastic surgeon, an eye surgeon and a cosmetic dentist, along with a dream team of hair and makeup artists, stylists and personal trainers, "Extreme Makeover" will transform this trio's lives and ultimately redirect their destinies.

Dr. Garth Fisher, a prominent board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, led this dream team, performing various procedures on Stacey, Stephanie and Luke; Brenda Cooper, former host of E!'s "Fashion Emergency," helped select their wardrobes; Dentist Dr. William Dorfman, one of the pioneers of tooth whitening, performed various dental procedures; Dr. Robert Maloney, considered one of the 10 best Lasik surgeons in the world, performed Lasik eye surgery; personal trainer Michael Thurmond, creator of the "Six Week Body Makeover," oversaw their diet and exercise regimen; and Jose Eber and his team of hair and makeup experts made their makeover transformations complete.

The three participants underwent the following procedures:

Stacey, a 31-year-old certified medication aide, had a nose job, brow lift, under-eye lift, liposuction, chin implant and dental work.

Stephanie, a 24-year-old insurance representative and single mom, had a nose job, breast implants, liposuction, Lasik eye surgery and dental work.

And Luke, a 29-year-old personal trainer, had a nose job, tummy tuck and dental work.

"Who among us hasn't wanted to change something about ourselves? Three lucky people are being given the chance to go from the proverbial ugly duckling to beautiful swan, to change their looks and their lives forever. We assembled the top professionals, the 'best of the best' in each of their respective fields, to accomplish this remarkable transformation. Viewers are going to be knocked out when they see what happens to these people," said Howard Schultz, "Extreme Makeover" creator and executive producer.

"Extreme Makeover" is produced by Lighthearted Entertainment. Howard Schultz is executive producer, Jacqui Pitman is co-executive producer and Kevin Lee is supervising producer.
