90 Day Fiance star Anna Campisi is explaining why she and Mursel Mistanoglu appear to wear wedding rings on the show.

Anna, a 38-year-old mother of three from Bellevue, NE, took to Instagram on Monday and posted a slideshow of photos with Mursel at what appeared to be a fancy and celebratory event, complete with a cake and balloons.

Anna also shared two pictures of the couple's rings -- one on Mursel's finger and two beautiful diamond rings on her own hand.

"I finally got the ok! I've gotten a lot of questions about the rings Mursel and I wear," Anna began in her post.

"In Turkey it is customary to have an Engagement ceremony. This involves exchanging rings. A red ribbon is tied to both rings and the Elder of the family says a prayer and some words to bless the Engagement and the ribbon is then cut."

Anna continued, "Then the couple goes around and kisses the hands of the Elders. It is also customary for the guests to pin money on the newly Engaged couple. We didn't go through the whole engagement custom which would also involve both families meeting and getting a blessing due to my family not being in Turkey."

She concluded, "We were engaged September 8 2018! Hopefully this clears some questions."

Anna welcomed Mursel, a 38-year-old from Antalya, Turkey, into the United States on a recent episode of 90 Day Fiance's seventh season, which premiered on TLC earlier this month.

Mursel and Anna first met when he had sent the American a friend request on Facebook after noticing they had a shared passion for beekeeping.

Despite the language barrier, Anna and Mursel began talking and would often send each other photos of their bees. Anna thought Mursel was kind and sweet, much unlike her alleged controlling ex, although their cultures were much different considering he's Muslim.

Anna finally took their flirtation to the next level by traveling to Turkey to meet Mursel, and four months later, he proposed to her on social media. Mursel subsequently traveled to the United States on a K-1 visa with the intent of marrying Anna in 90 days.

Anna, however, said her three sons -- Joey, 15, Gino, 14, and Leo, 6 -- are the priority in her life, so she hoped her boys and Mursel would get along and become a family.

However, once Mursel arrived in the United States, it quickly became apparent he viewed America as being inferior to what he was used to in Turkey.

Mursel's meeting with Anna's sons didn't go well as a result, and then Anna learned Mursel planned to keep her children a secret from his family, who would disapprove of Mursel dating an unmarried woman with kids.

Anna therefore began questioning her future with Mursel after several difficult weeks together.

Mursel didn't think his family would find out about Anna's children, but if they did, it would cause major problems. Mursel didn't want to be shamed by his family in Turkey, and he admitted to Anna he might have to return to his native country if their secret gets exposed.

Anna and Mursel were shown enjoying some time with Anna's bees followed by a wedding shower in the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance; however, Anna's friends were concerned Mursel wouldn't fit in because he only knew a few words in English.

Anna acknowledged to the cameras Mursel wasn't fitting into her life, and she felt frustrated.
