90 Day Fiance's new season stars three returning couples from the franchise: Mike Youngquist, a 35-year-old from Sequim, WA, and Natalie, a 35-year-old from Ukraine; Rebecca Parrott, a 49-year-old from Woodstock, GA, and Zied, a 27-year-old from Tunisia; and Tarik, a 46-year-old from Virginia Beach, VA, and Hazel, a 28-year-old from the Philippines.

Mike and Natalie previously starred on Season 7 of 90 Day Fiance, Rebecca and Zied first appeared on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' third season, and Tarik and Hazel found fame on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.

The four new couples starring on Season 8 of 90 Day Fiance are Brandon, a 27-year-old from Dinwiddie, VA, and Julia, a 26-year-old from Russia; Jovi Dufren, a 29-year-old from New Orleans, LA, and Yara Zaya, a 25-year-old from Ukraine; Stephanie, a 52-year-old from Grand Rapids, MI, and Ryan, a 27-year-old from Belize; and Andrew, a 32-year-old from Roseville, CA, and Amira, a 28-year-old from France.

90 Day Fiance features Americans who have fallen in love with foreigners bringing their fiances to the United States on K-1 visas.

However, once the couple is in America together, the American must marry their overseas partner within the 90-day period allowed by the visa or the foreigner has to return to their home country.

Below is the latest on several of 90 Day Fiance's eighth-season couples based on the second episode.

BRANDON AND JULIA

Brandon was on his way to pick Julia up at the airport, and his mother Betty and father Ron went along for the big reunion.

Brandon admitted his mother could be a bit of "a helicopter mom," but Betty was so excited to see her potential future daughter-in-law.

When Julia ran into Brandon's arms, he gave her flowers and the couple hugged and kissed multiple times. Betty and Ron appeared thrilled and overjoyed, and Julia called her fiance "perfect."

Julia apparently had to question whether Brandon was even real when they first met.

"I'm going to take a Green Card and stay here! Just joking," Julia told the cameras.

Once Brandon and Julia checked into their hotel room, Betty and Ron wanted the family to go to dinner together, but Julia just wanted to stay in the room. Brandon also joked his mother was "a c-ck block."

Julia had a little surprise for Brandon and so the pair arrived to dinner late. Betty just hoped Julia was going to be okay with having her own room in Brandon's parents' home.

"Explain," Julia said in reply to the announcement. "You stay in your room and I stay in a different room? What do you think about it?"

"I don't like it," Brandon said.

Betty said Julia and Brandon had to follow her rules, and Brandon wished he had time to break the news to Julia on his own after she settled in for a bit.

Julia wanted Brandon to talk to his parents and try to change their minds, but she joked the pair should just get married right away so they could live together. Betty then asked Julia "to take the proper steps to make sure there are no children yet."

Julia said she didn't want to welcome children for another two or three years, and she didn't like talking about safe sex at dinner. Julia told Betty that in 26 years, she never had an accident in regards to children and she was serious with an ex-boyfriend.

But Betty insisted things happen and so Julia needed to meet with her doctor to figure out her options. Julia was offended, upset and angry, and Brandon said he was silently furious that his mother was throwing all of his on Julia so quickly into their reunion.

Julia said she was ready to "explode" and that conversation was just too much for her. Julia said Brandon needed to be a man and stand up to his parents, both about sleeping in different rooms and the birth-control.

Julia didn't want Brandon's parents to think she was "a bad girl" if she declined birth control. She also said she wanted to sleep with Brandon because he had to work throughout their 90 days together and they wouldn't have much time to spend with each other.

Brandon insisted sleeping wasn't quality time, but Julia pointed out the situation was "not good." Brandon, however, didn't see anything wrong with Betty being involved since Betty had just paid for Julia's flight to the United States.

Julia begged Brandon to just try talking to his parents, and he ultimately obliged.

"If I try fixing the situation, we have fighting with his parents 100 percent. Him lie [to] me... We don't marry if [he starts lying] to me more, more and more," Julia told the cameras.

Julia then told Brandon his parents wouldn't have to worry about an immediate pregnancy because he wasn't going to get lucky that night.

MIKE AND NATALIE

Mike's uncle Beau was in the process of moving out so he and Natalie could have some privacy upon her arrival in the United States. Natalie said she wasn't going to feel comfortable living in a house with Beau, and so Mike felt in the middle.

Beau had a place to stay, so he wasn't going to be homeless, but Mike still felt a little guilty about having to kick him out.

Beau just wished the best for Mike and Natalie and hoped Natalie would make his beloved nephew happy. Beau didn't want to see Mike get hurt or played.

Meanwhile, Natalie said when she first met and got to know Mike, she didn't want to be without him. But as time passed, the pair got wrapped up in some issues and Natalie said she even considered breaking up with Mike at one point when times got really tough.

Natalie, however, wanted to continue working on her relationship since she had already committed two years of her life to being with Mike. Natalie's mom also liked Mike a lot and was optimistic about her daughter's romance, which gave Natalie hope things might work out after all.

Natalie put a lot of faith into her mother's beliefs and opinions, explaining to the cameras, "She cannot be mistaken."

Natalie was scared to leave her whole life behind for love, and it was hard for her to say goodbye to her mother. Natalie also felt bad about leaving her mother behind given Natalie is her only child.

Natalie therefore got emotional before boarding her flight, and she said she had "no idea" whether her relationship with Mike was going to flourish or not. Natalie and Mike only had 90 days to figure out their troubles and get married.

Mike later drove to the airport to pick Natalie up, and he said he was very excited but didn't know what to expect from her. Mike's mother advised Mike to be kind to Natalie and just figure things out, and Mike acknowledged, "We have sh-t to work through."

Mike intended to make "the best of it," but he was apparently still hurting from the time Natalie had returned her engagement ring after a big fight.

When the couple reunited, Natalie jumped into Mike's arms and they hugged and kissed. Mike gave Natalie flowers and she expressed glee over being in America, despite her exhaustion and fatigue from her long traveling day.

Natalie admitted in the car she didn't like her flowers because they were purple, but Mike said it's about the thought behind the flowers and the gesture -- not about the gift itself.

The couple planned to stay in Seattle for the night, which surprised Natalie because Mike had previously told her that he was $30,000 in debt. However, Mike said he was able to pay off a lot of his debt prior to Natalie's arrival.

Mike was also able to save money and put some aside, and so he wanted to make Natalie's first night in America very special. Natalie was so impressed and thought the view from her hotel room was beautiful.

Mike thought he and Natalie were having a wonderful evening and that their relationship was in a much better place than it had been before, and Natalie was joyful about the idea of being with her man and starting a new life.

TARIK AND HAZEL

Tarik, a 46-year-old rapper from Virginia Beach, VA, said he loves music, working out and traveling. He said his favorite place is Thailand and he's traveled there so much he actually learned a lot of the language as well as the culture.

Tarik had met Hazel, a 28-year-old from Quezon City, Philippines, on an Asian dating website, which he had joined to broaden his search area for women.

"She is beautiful on the inside and outside. She's like an Asian version of Angelina Jolie and I love her," Tarik said in a confessional. "It's been a long road since I've been to the Philippines to meet Hazel for the first time after three months of dating."

Tarik said he was taken with Hazel at their very first interaction but she was standoffish and reserved at first.

When Tarik met Hazel's family for the first time, he explained he was shocked by the conditions her loved ones lived in, and so Tarik said he was certain at the time he wanted to make Hazel his wife and give her a better life in the United States.

At the time 90 Day Fiance's eighth season filmed, Tarik and Hazel had been together for two years and Hazel got approved for a K-1 visa. Hazel was scheduled to arrive in a few weeks, and Tarik said he couldn't wait to be in America with his love for the first time.

Hazel was going to meet Tarik's seven-year-old daughter Arie for the first time. Tarik apparently has majority custody of Arie, who stays with her father five out of seven days a week and lives with her mother on the weekends.

Tarik shared how Arie has high-functioning autism and everything in his life revolves around her. Tarik hoped Hazel would love Arie and that they'd get along wonderfully.

Hazel also has an eight-year-old son Harry, and Hazel was having a tough time leaving him behind. Tarik and Hazel therefore planned to bring Harry to the United States "eventually" in order to give the boy more opportunities in life.

Tarik admitted he was "surprised" when he learned Hazel is bisexual, and he told her that Virginia Beach is "full of smoking hot women."

Hazel apparently wanted to have a girlfriend on the side, and Tarik therefore wondered how that was going to work and whether Hazel was really in their relationship for him or just permanent residency in the United States.

"I feel cautiously optimistic about it, but we're not even married yet -- and what you're thinking about is the girlfriend we need to find?" Tarik explained in a confessional.

"We've had some trust and jealousy issues in the past, so it does make me nervous. But she wants to go full steam ahead on this thing, so I hope we're really ready for it."

Tarik later met up with his friend Kia, and Tarik admitted he was "nervous as hell" about Hazel's pending arrival. Kia said the last woman she had seen Tarik with was Arie's mother.

Tarik revealed he had questioned Hazel's character one time but ended up being wrong.

Tarik had been engaged for almost a year when he and Hazel had a big misunderstanding. Tarik recalled how they thought Hazel was pregnant at the time and so Hazel took one positive pregnancy, followed by two negative tests about a week later.

"So I'm thinking that she terminated the pregnancy, so I flipped out. I thought, 'I can't be with nobody who is going to do sh-t like this,'" Tarik explained.

"A woman can do whatever she wants with her body, but I think my feelings went all over the place because it's a trust thing. I thought she did it without talking to me, and I was like, 'This is over.'"

Three weeks after their breakup, Tarik apparently started talking to a new woman named Minty from Thailand. Tarik said he had been "falling in like" -- not love -- with the girl, but he wanted to clean things up with Hazel before pursuing a new relationship.

Hazel insisted to Tarik that a doctor had told her that she was never pregnant and her menstrual cycle had just been late. Hazel therefore forgave Tarik, who then came clean about his interactions with Minty.

Hazel was upset at first but then suggested she wanted to talk to the "beautiful" Minty.

Tarik had yet to tell close friends and family that Hazel is bisexual because he knew people would have preconceived notions, and Hazel having a girlfriend was simply going to be a part of their married life.

Tarik revealed to Kia that he, Minty and Hazel all met in the Philippines about a year-and-a-half prior.

Tarik suggested the girls had hooked up and everything was "beautiful" for two-and-a-half days.

"But Day 3, Hazel just put an end to it. Hazel felt like Minty was more into me than she was into Hazel," Tarik shared.

"Hazel could see I was just fascinated by Minty. It was refreshing to me to be able to speak in Thai and talk about all the stuff I experienced in Thailand, but there was this jealousy that came over Hazel immediately and it ended right there. Hazel told me to never contact Minty ever again."

However, Tarik confessed he had texted Minty again a couple of weeks back. Tarik said he just wanted to check on Minty and make sure she was okay due to the coronavirus pandemic, and he insisted to Kia that he was going to tell Hazel, whom Kia predicted wouldn't be happy.

Tarik acknowledged Hazel isn't a pushover, so he was afraid to break the news that he had reached out to Minty.

Regardless, Kia said she was looking forward to meeting Hazel.

REBECCA AND ZIED

Rebecca was shown learning some self-defense and working out with her friend and former private-investigator boss Melanie. The pair had a lot to catch up on, and Zied's interview for the K-1 visa was only two days away.

Melanie didn't want to see Rebecca repeat her mistakes given Rebecca's ex from Morocco changed upon his entry to the United States and allegedly became controlling, which resulted in Rebecca and the man getting a divorce.

Rebecca was sure this situation was going to be different and Zied was going to be different because he truly loved her, but Melanie pointed out Rebecca and Zied hadn't spent much time in person.

Rebecca explained to her pal that she and Zied just wanted to be together, but Melanie reminded Rebecca how Zied's background check was a little concerning since Zied had no previous jobs listed.

Melanie recalled how it appeared Zied had never worked a day in his life, but Rebecca explained Zied wanted to work in America and always worked odd jobs that paid cash.

Melanie wished Rebecca had found a man who could take care of her this time, and Rebecca admitted her ex had taken advantage of her in a terrible way.

Rebecca was still recovering from her ex, both financially and emotionally, and she was well aware Zied wouldn't have a work permit in the United States and she'd have to take care of him for a while.

"It was a very difficult decision for me to take the risk and do this again, and if it turns out that I'm wrong about Zied, I don't know if I'll ever trust my judgment again or be able to be in a relationship again," Rebecca shared.

It then became time for Zied's K-1 visa interview, but first, Rebecca went shopping for a game system so Zied could play video games while she's at work in America. Rebecca said Zied would need something to do while she worked all day.

Rebecca revealed to an employee at the video-game store that Zied was only 28 years old and her own son was 25 years old. Rebecca ended up buying a $215 gaming system, and she just hoped it would make Zied happy.

Rebecca said most people didn't understand the special bond she shared with Zied, and she hoped judgment from the outside world wouldn't come in between them or affect their relationship.

At 2AM, it was morning in Tunisia and Zied had his interview. Although Rebecca was tired, she stayed awake and anticipated hearing about how the interview went. Rebecca knew Zied was "stressed out," and she wished he didn't have to go through the process alone.

Zied then FaceTimed with Rebecca and revealed that after his interview, his passport was taken and no one told him whether he had been approved for a K-1 visa. Zied said he was asked many questions and told to return for his passport about a week later.

Rebecca was in shock and didn't know what this meant. Rebecca said she hated the idea of having to wait another week, and Zied admitted he was "nervous" but "okay" at the same time.

Rebecca said she was confident in her relationship and that Zied was dating her for the right reasons but immigration might deny Zied a visa since she had been through a similar scenario before.

Rebecca and Zied had been engaged for a year, and she said it was hard to be apart from him. Rebecca anticipated the longest week of her life was ahead of her.

JOVI AND YARA

Yara had finally touched down in New Orleans and so Jovi took her to his nice apartment in the best part of the city. Jovi said he had upgraded his apartment for Yara's move but it was still probably going to be small compared to what Yara liked and was used to.

Yara hoped to feel good and comfortable in Jovi's new apartment, but she complained about Jovi's place being small. Jovi said it was "frustrating" because he thought his place was really nice, and Yara also vented about how the place wasn't very clean.

Yara also complained about toasting champagne in plastic glasses.

Yara said Jovi had "bad taste," but Jovi told his fiancee that she could decorate their apartment however she wanted, and that at least made her feel a little better.

Jovi wanted to take Yara out on the town, but she said she was exhausted and just wanted to stay home. Jovi was a little angry and frustrated they couldn't go out and party for a little bit, especially because he wanted to introduce Yara to some of his friends.

"I don't think me and Yara are on the same page about a lot of things, but our 90 days start today and we have a lot to think about before we get married," Jovi said.

Jovi then joked with Yara they were about to have sex for the first time in America.

During Yara's first full day in New Orleans, she unpacked and tried to get settled. Jovi then gave Yara a tour of the city, including Bourbon Street, where people just hang out and drink.

Yara thought Bourbon Street was chaotic and crazy, and she appeared pretty overwhelmed. Yara admitted she thought America was going to be "sweet dreams" but Ukraine was better -- although more "poor."

Jovi then wanted to introduce Yara to his parents, but Yara didn't want to spend the night at Jovi's parents' place because she said she wouldn't be comfortable. Jovi said Yara didn't have a choice because that's simply Louisiana culture.

Yara jokingly threatened to return to Ukraine, but Jovi argued that America is a better country, which apparently upset Yara.

Jovi couldn't wait to introduce Yara to his mother, saying it was a very important moment in his life and he wished Yara had been more excited about it. Jovi said he needed the women to get along in order for him to have a comfortable marriage.
