Some of the footage is self-shot, similar to how cast members filmed themselves for 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined.

90 Day Diaries chronicles not just successful 90 Day Fiance couples but also numerous 90 Day Fiance alums who didn't see their original 90 Day Fiance relationship work out. The cast members will attempt to begin new romances after the failure of their prior overseas relationships.

The season will feature more cast members in the coming weeks, but below is what happened on Episode 8 of 90 Day Diaries' third season.

TOM and MARIAH

Tom and Mariah had been dating long-distance for over a year, and he gushed, "She's the most intelligent, funny, witty, adorable person you could ever want to meet. She has two sons and is an amazing mother, and she is just everything to me."

Tom told his sister that his relationship was "really, really good." Mariah had visited him in the U.K. several weeks prior and he proposed marriage; however, she turned down the proposal and said she wasn't ready.

Tom admitted he was shocked and wondered if he was more invested in the relationship than she was, but he understood at the end of the day that he was rushing things.

Mariah also didn't say "no" because she simply said "not right now." But Tom's sister considered it a "no" since getting engaged is not going through with a marriage and couples can have long engagements.

Tom revealed living in America is now an option for him and he'll be traveling from the U.K. to Canada, where he'd stay in Toronto, and then Mariah would join him. After a period of time, he'd travel from Toronto to Las Vegas, and if they didn't get married in 180 days, he'd have to return to the U.K.

"In my heart of hearts, what I'd like to happen is obviously get married to Mariah and then we can not worry about ever having to be apart again," Tom said.

Tom's sister didn't like the idea of Tom "giving up his whole life" for uncertainty. She wanted to make sure Mariah would be willing to compromise for their relationship as well.

Footage then flashed to Tom and Mariah in Toronto together, walking in the rain. Tom looked forward to having an extended day with Mariah in which one of them wouldn't have to leave.

The couple also took an exciting tango dancing class, as Tom always likes to show off his moves on television and social media.

Tom told Mariah that her rejection of his marriage proposal was "really hard" for him, but she confessed to the cameras that the proposal was "completely out of left field" for her since the couple had not discussed such an arrangement at all.

"You're not giving anything up... and I'm giving up everything to be here," Tom told his girlfriend.

The couple bickered at the tango studio because Mariah just made flippant comments about how "nothing is guaranteed in life" when Tom was flat out saying he wanted to get engaged and then marry her. Tom complained that Mariah was not making him feel secure or safe in their relationship at all.

Mariah insisted she was committed to Tom but not crazy about the idea of marrying him. She didn't know why he was so upset since she could easily call off an engagement, just like she could break up with her boyfriend.

Tom was clearly frustrated and hurt that Mariah seemed to have no desire or intention of marrying him, and he called the situation "very difficult."

Mariah confirmed that she would not marry Tom just to keep him in the United States, and she told the reality TV star that she'd like to just take things day by day with nothing written in stone.

"How long do I need to wait? I don't know. I think I may need to take a step back," Tom said with disappointment.

Danielle Mullins

Danielle met Mohamed Jbali in 2013. She traveled to see him in Tunisia and then applied for the K-1 visa, which allowed Mohamed to fly to the United States.

Danielle said married life was "a lot of fighting and arguing," and then in 2017, they got a divorce.

Mohamed and Danielle did not end on good terms, as Mohamed had revealed on a Tell-All special how Danielle had a "problem" she needed to fix in order for a man to want to have sex with her. He said no man would enjoy having sex with a woman who has "a bad smell."

Danielle said Mohamed's harsh words gave her low self-esteem and so she decided to confront him and ask for an apology, which she actually received. Mohamed said he had never done anything on purpose to hurt her.

Danielle and Mohamed proceeded to stay in touch and talk on a regular basis, like once or twice a week.

"Even though we had a rocky past when we were together, it doesn't mean we can't be friends in the end," Danielle explained to the cameras.

Danielle was then shown FaceTiming with her girlfriends Lauren, Lexi and Michelle. The girls had a long-distance spa day together in which they used face masks.

Danielle had been studying for 11 months to become a licensed practical nurse, and her graduation was just in a few weeks. However, she needed to pass her boards first.

If she managed to pass her final exams, Danielle decided she should re-enter the dating scene and look for a partner, someone who's not going to hold her back and stop her from doing the things she wants to do.

When asked if she'd get married again, Danielle replied, "I don't know... because I don't want to have to pay for a divorce and sh-t again."

Danielle revealed to her friends that Mohamed planned to attend her graduation ceremony, and she wasn't sure how her children would react.

But Danielle's friends believed Mohamed is a nice person who truly cared for Danielle, and Danielle also pointed out how Mohamed had encouraged her and restored her confidence in herself.

After Danielle was shown celebrating Halloween with her children and grandchildren, she dropped a bomb on them about Mohamed attending the graduation. Danielle's kids were unhappy about the idea, but Danielle said Mohamed had changed over the years and been very supportive.

"I hope everyone can become civil," Danielle told her children.

Danielle's kids seemed to agree that they wanted "nothing to do" with Mohamed, but Danielle said the goal is to forgive people and not hate them. She said hate will make people upset and angry down the road and she just wanted to be happy.

Danielle also wanted everyone she loved to be in the same room on her big day.

Caesar Mack

Caesar, a nail technician, was approaching his 50th birthday, and he was preparing for "a new chapter" in his life. He decided to start working on himself by exercising and eating healthier, and he said he just wanted to get his "groove" back.

Caesar, who had lost about 50 pounds with the help of a personal trainer, was going to the gym to lose more weight, get buff and feel better about himself after his breakup with Maria from the Ukraine.

Caesar met Maria when she was 28 years old on a dating website. They talked for five years over FaceTime, and throughout that time, Caesar claimed he had sent Maria about $500,000.

Caesar attempted to meet Maria in Mexico but she never showed up on the plane and then she broke up with him over the phone. From there, Caesar was determined to meet her in person, and they finally did in the Ukraine.

"I thought that was a really great thing, for us to get together. And then she wanted me to pretty much send more money, and I couldn't do it because coronavirus had started. And so that's when our relationship diminished and it was pretty much over," Caesar revealed.

The only woman Caesar talked to after Maria was a 25-year-old model named Aya. But he felt like he was going back down the same road he had traveled with Maria. Caesar realized he should date women his own age and let Aya go.

"With all of these positive changes I'm making in my life, I think I'm ready for love again," Caesar said.

Caesar's friend advised him not to meet someone online again, but he couldn't help himself with the dating websites. He was drawn to Ukrainian women and began talking to multiple women.

"This is going to go way better than when I was with Maria, because now, I'm not giving up money and now I'm seeing that person on-camera. And I'm not going to sit there and wait five years to meet somebody like that again," Caesar proudly stated.

Caesar also revealed that he was thinking about having more kids and so he was waiting for the results of a testosterone test he had taken.

Caesar looked at the test results with his good friend and he discovered that he's in "normal range." He joked, "At least I know I'm a whole man!... But it doesn't mean that I can produce a baby. But I can still try to make a baby, and I can move good."

Evelyn Cormier

Evelyn said her parents bought a 1790s inn last fall in New Hampshire but it needed a ton of work and the weather dictated how much they could do at any given time.

Evelyn's 90 Day Fiance journey started when she met David Vazquez on social media. They started talking when Evelyn was 18 years old and David slid into her DMs on Instagram.

The pair developed a friendship that turned romantic, and even though they came from different worlds, they shared the same Christian values -- including not having sex before marriage.

Evelyn visited David and his family in Spain, where David proposed, and then Evelyn returned to New Hampshire and began the K-1 visa process.

Once the visa was approved, David moved to New Hampshire, but David dreamed of living in a bigger city and not such a "rural" area.

During their 90 days together, Evelyn and David had their fair share of disagreements but Evelyn thought he was the love of her life. The couple therefore got married and then lived in New Hampshire together for two years.

But then Evelyn wanted to explore becoming a professional musician, and she made it as a finalist on American Idol.

After her appearance on the show, more opportunities opened up to further her music career in Los Angeles, and so she and David moved there.

"But I really didn't like living in L.A. David couldn't understand why I missed my home so much, and that caused a lot of friction for us," Evelyn explained.

"David always wanted things to be his way and he was very controlling towards me, and I was silenced so often with my opinions and thoughts and feelings -- like they weren't valid."

Evelyn went as far as to add, "There were days when I felt like I couldn't even get out of bed because I felt so hopeless for my future."

Evelyn felt like she could not divorce David under any circumstances, but she explained how there are Biblical reasons that would allow a person to get divorced and there are some things that would make it acceptable.

Evelyn said her church was supportive and so she returned home to New Hampshire and filed for divorce from David.

Her divorce was still processing at the time she filmed this spin off, and she said it would be finalized the following month.

Evelyn explained how she cut off communication with David last summer and didn't talk to him again.

Evelyn was trying to get settled in New Hampshire post-divorce and figure out the next steps in her music career and in her life after leaving David.

"I have no plans of leaving New Hampshire. This is where I will live forever, hopefully," Evelyn told her loved ones.

Living back in Evelyn's parents' house was a big adjustment, but she said her parents totally supported her divorce from David. Evelyn's family also seemed to agree that Los Angeles wasn't the best place for Evelyn.

When asked if she thought about dating again, Evelyn called it "a scary idea" because she noted how more healing needed to happen.

Evelyn also said she needed to really get to know a man this time and not just take his word on what his character is.

Evelyn's parents wished they had been more assertive about David since they had noticed red flags while Evelyn was dating him, but it was too late.

They initially thought the red flags were due to David's culture or youth, but they claimed David ultimately wasn't who he said he was.

Evelyn concluded, "I made a really bad mistake and I have to live with it."

Evelyn surprisingly revealed that she knew "immediately" upon marrying David that she had made a mistake.

Evelyn was then shown practicing music with her brother, as the pair planned to release an album together.

Evelyn was excited to return to her roots and create music that's really meaningful to her.

"I know that I'll find the right person for me eventually, but right now, I'm just really excited to see where my music career is going to take me and spend time with my family and friends," Evelyn told the cameras.

KYLE and NOON

Kyle met Noon when he DMed her on Instagram and asked if they could get together once he traveled to Thailand. Noon didn't think she wanted to date Kyle at first, but when they met up in-person, she thought he was "very hot" and "sweet."

The pair hung out for a couple of weeks in Bangkok, with Kyle waiting for Noon to get off from work every day instead of exploring the city. Kyle wanted to be with her all the time.

Kyle and Moon therefore applied for a K-1 visa and followed through with getting married in the United States.

In one year, Kyle and Moon moved out of the city and into the suburbs of Portland, OR, and bought a property.

Noon also had a new job as a server at a Thai restaurant while she learned how to code, and Kyle works in real estate, which had been working out really well for him.

"Now we're heading towards starting a family," Kyle said.

The pair was then shown hiking in the woods together. They wanted to spend some quality time before Noon traveled back to Thailand to visit her family.

"When I come back, you can put a baby in here," Noon joked.

"I've been trying!" Kyle said.

The couple confirmed they were trying "a lot" but they had yet to conceive a baby.

Noon's trip was going to last for three weeks.
