VH1 hasn't had much luck picking potential suitors for Flava Flav during Flavor of Love's first two seasons, so now it's the viewers' turn to see if they can do any better.

VH1 has announced it has begun casting for Flavor of Love's third season, which is scheduled to premiere next year.  However in a move similar to the way the network handled casting suitors for Tiffany "New York" Pollard on I Love New York's upcoming second edition, five contestants who will appear on Flavor of Love 3 will be chosen by fans via a website designed solely for that purpose. 

Fans can nominate themselves for consideration to appear on Flavor of Love 3 by uploading a video profile, biographical information and photos to flavoroflovecasting.com. Online casting began on August 1 and will be open until September 4, with fans having the ability to vote on which potential suitors make the cut. 

The 10 contestants with the highest number of fan votes via the website will then be announced on September 5. The Top 5 vote getters -- who will actually be cast and compete for Flava Flav's affection on Flavor of Love 3 -- will be revealed at a yet-to-be-determined date.
