VH1 giving 'Rock of Love 2' runner-up Daisy De La Hoya her own show

VH1 is giving Rock of Love with Bret Michaels 2 runner-up Daisy De La Hoya her own shot at love.

The network has announced that De La Hoya will star in Daisy of Love, a new reality dating series that will premiere in Spring 2009.

VH1 has begun casting potential De La Hoya suitors via daisyoflovecasting.com, a website where interested men are able to submit applications of themselves and visitors can vote for their favorite candidates.

Rock of Love's second season ended with Michaels selecting Ambre Lake over De La Hoya, however similar to the show's first season, Michaels' new romance didn't last long and the pair announced they'd split in July.

As part of the split -- which Michaels and Lake blamed on conflicting personal schedules -- VH1 also announced plans for Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels, a currently-filming third season that is filming while Michaels is out on tour.

Daisy of Love is being executive produced by 51 Minds Entertainment founders Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego, who also produce Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. Ben Samek will also serve as an executive producer.
