The Voice walked away with the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program award when the show aired September 20.

NBC's The Voice had six nominations this year. The show's victory marked its second Emmy win overall in this category.

"Sorry, The Amazing Race, it's our year this year," The Voice's executive producer Mark Burnett said in his acceptance speech onstage, accompanied by a large group.

The Amazing Race won the award last year. The Voice claimed the award in 2013, but before that, The Amazing Race had won Outstanding Reality-Competition Program every year since the category was created in 2003 except for a blip when Top Chef earned the honor in 2010.

"Thank you so much to the Academy and to the millions of fans that made this America's favorite music show. I want to thank Warner Horizon and Talpa -- of course NBCUniversal. They were hands-on right from the start with [NBC executives] Steve Burke and Bob Greenblatt," Burnett continued in his speech.

"In the trenches every day [are network executives] Paul Telegdy, Meredith Ahr and Shelby Radloff. Our incredible team of producers up here led by Lee Metzger, Audrey Morrissey, Carson Daly, and too many others to mention up here. But trust me, everyone is doing all the work."

Lastly, Burnett gave a shout-out to The Voice's alternating coaches, including mainstays Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

"And, of course, Adam, Blake, [Pharrell Williams], [Christina Aguilera] and [Gwen Stefani]. Thank you Academy," Burnett added.

The Voice's ninth season just premiered Monday night at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
