HJ5 is an animated representation of Stefani's Harajuku Girls, who first appeared on "The Voice" star's 2004 album, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby."

Led by Stefani-inspired character G, HJ5 takes on the world of rock n' roll while battling aliens, monsters, and grown-ups who are determined to interrupt the fun.

Stefani raps in the preview video which features a roll call of HJ5's members and highlights each one's personality traits.

"Stefani [has always had a] love of pop art and lifelong admiration for the street fashion and creative youth culture found in the renowned Harajuku neighborhood of Tokyo, Japan," said the show's press release.

"It was while writing her first solo album that Stefani created the original Harajuku Girl characters as a celebration of the creativity and individualism she saw and loved in the Harajuku District."

"Kuu Kuu Harajuku" premieres on Nickelodeon on October 3.
