'The Simple Life' star Paris Hilton offended by Internet comments

Heiress Paris Hilton says visitor comments posted on the U.S. Web site TMZ.com are "very hurtful" and have caused her to cry more than once.

In an interview with the Web site, Hilton said thousands of online postings have portrayed her in a very negative light and have been extremely offensive.
"They think I don't have any feelings, the 25-year-old Hilton said about those posting the comments.
Hilton's public persona has been that of a hard-partier who gained her widest fame through online distribution of a video showing her having sex with her boyfriend.
Some of the posting on TMZ.com are harsh.
"Paris is like a fart in a mitten. You know it's there, you can't stand it, but you can't get rid of it," said one posting.
"Paris is just an overused human condom," said another.
TMZ.com has not commented as to how it will handle the situation.
