Before there was Rob and Amber, there was Trista and Ryan.  While "Romber" don't have plans for children in their immediate future, the same can't be said for The Bachelorette's Trista and Ryan Sutter -- the couple has announced that they are expecting the birth of their first child.

"We're so happy after two years of trying," Trista told People, which first reported the pregnancy on Tuesday night.  "I've had horrendous morning sickness, but everyone says that is a sign of a healthy pregnancy."

Ryan reportedly learned of Trista's pregnancy when he flew into Denver International Airport on December 18, 2006 after participating in a mountain expedition in Argentina.

"He was completely wind burned and his lips were dry," Trista told People. "We had a three-hour drive back to our home from the airport and I couldn't wait to tell him, so I pulled him aside to a quiet part of the baggage claim area and told him there."

Trista, a 34-year-old purse designer, and Ryan, a 32-year-old Colorado fireman, met while taping the first season of ABC's The Bachelorette in 2002.  More than 30 million people watched as Trista chose Ryan as her man during ABC's February 2003 broadcast of The Bachelorette's first season finale.

Ten months later, ABC aired a three episode series that detailed the events leading up to their December 2003 wedding ceremony.  Over 17 million viewers watched Trista and Ryan exchange vows on ABC's Trista & Ryan's Wedding finale broadcast.

Trista, who originally finished as the runner-up on the first season of ABC's The Bachelor and also appeared on the network's first season of Dancing with the Stars, says she is currently 14 weeks pregnant.  The couple won't know the gender of their first child until the summer, People reported.
