The Bachelorette alum Blake Moynes has revealed he's finally at peace with Katie Thurston and John Hersey dating and how their relationship came about, adding that he's ready to talk if his ex-fiancee wants to.

Over the last five months since announcing his split from Katie in late October 2021, Blake has been trying to move on and focus on himself and his passion for wildlife conservation.

But in the meantime, Blake has had to watch Katie's relationship with John, one of her Week 2 eliminees on The Bachelorette's seventeenth season, blossom and flourish.

Blake believed the pair were just platonic friends while he and Katie were still together, but the former Bachelorette and John went Instagram official in November 2021 and Katie publicly revealed not long after how she's madly in love with the San Diego-based bartender.

During a February appearance on "The Ben & Ashley I: Almost Famous Podcast," Blake said he wasn't ready to talk to Katie again despite her recent attempts at communication -- but his outlook on the situation has since changed.

"Emotions get the best of you," Blake recently told E! News about why he had ignored Katie's efforts to hash things out. "So when I was upset and frustrated, I didn't want to act in that moment."

But Blake said now that some time has passed, he is "good."

"I could probably talk to her and have a cordial conversation," Blake confirmed, whereas at the time, "I wasn't ready to blow it up more than it was already blown up."

Katie and John have both insisted Katie never cheated and they were only friends until romance became an option for them, once Katie opened her heart again after her broken engagement to Blake.

But when asked whether he thinks there was overlap between Katie's two relationships, Blake told the website, "Emotionally, maybe."

Blake, however, said he doesn't think Katie ever physically cheated on him.

"I really don't believe there was anything physical... She's better than that," Blake noted.

Katie previously hinted on social media that she and Blake were fighting too much during their six-month relationship and broke up due to their different communication styles.

The TikTok star and social-media influencer also suggested that Blake was unable to make her happy and vice versa.

An insider told The Sun late last year that Katie's "outbursts eventually became too much" for Blake "to handle."

But Blake admitted he was "flabbergasted" and "speechless" upon discovering Katie had begun dating John so quickly after their split on "Talking It Out" in November 2021.

Blake also suggested at the time John seemed to be a "rebound" for Katie and she essentially slapped a Band-Aid on a broken heart following their broken engagement.

Blake shared with former The Bachelor star Ben Higgins on his podcast in February how he's currently single and wants to go back to dating "like in the old days" when he might stumble across a woman "in-person" on any random occasion.

"Social media gives us a false indication of what people are, and I realized that... You can lay out all your best cards on social media so we see that, and so you're almost always going to be let down," Blake explained.

"And so, I'm done with being scammed in a way... and [from thinking prematurely], 'Wow, all the boxes are checked here.'"

In terms of what he's looking for in a partner, Blake said at the time, "I'd like to find someone who wants to live that ambitious, adventurous life with me. I'm super happy as I am, single and alone, but I know I could be elevated with that right person."

"Until then, I'm not going to chase it. I think I know what I want and I just hope it falls in my lap," he added.

And Blake confirmed to E! News earlier this month that he has no interest in dating on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette or Bachelor in Paradise in the future.

Blake cited Clayton Echard's trainwreck of a The Bachelor season for why he wouldn't want to go on the show again.

"See what just happened?! I don't need that right now," Blake concluded.

Prior to appearing on Katie's season, Blake also competed for Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season in 2020.
