Some suitors were unable to tell the difference between Brad Womack and his identical twin brother Chad, helping the 34-year-old Austin, TX bar owner narrow his field of bachelorettes from 12 to nine during The Bachelor's third eleventh-season episode last night on ABC.

Lindsey MacClaren, a 25-year-old model from Livania, MI; Sarah Newlon, a 23-year-old bar manager from O'Fallon, IL; and Solisa Shoop, a 25-year-old esthetician from Georgetown, TX, were all sent packing by Brad, brining an end to their The Bachelor journey.

"You either have a connection or you don't.  I thought we did," said Lindsey following her elimination.  "I'm not going to sit here and cry over something that's not there (she then started to cry)... I don't want to cry.  You meet someone, you think you love them, you're going to spend the rest of your life with them, you're going to get a house, you're going to have kids... Someone that I guess just wants to love you.  It sucks.  It hurts to know it's all ending."

The Bachelor 11's third episode began with host Chris Harrison informing the 12 remaining bachelorettes that Brad would be going on two group dates and rewarding one of the suitors a rose on each, making them immune from elimination during the upcoming Rose Ceremony.  In addition, one of the bachelorettes would be accompanying Brad on a one-one-one date, and at its conclusion, he would either present a rose to the girl or put her in a limousine and send her home from the competition.

Accompanying Brad on the first group date were Lindsay; Sarah; Estefania (Stephy), a 26-year-old executive assistant from Atlanta, GA; McCarten, a 26-year-old account manager from San Diego, CA; Jenni, a 27-year-old Phoenix Suns cheerleader from Wichita, KS; and DeAnna, a 25-year-old realtor from Neunan, GA.  They learned they be taking in the "greatest show on earth" with Brad, and correctly predicted it was going to the circus.

"I'm very excited, but I definitely think he has a strong connection with a lot of the girls that are going to be on this date today," said Lindsay.  "So I have to step something up."

Brad explained he was taking the girls to the circus to see their "inner child come out," and their date began with a stop to meet an elephant before they performed some circus tricks of their own as Jenni put her skills as a dancer to good use and did some flips.  Brad commented his chemistry with Jenni went "beyond words" and told her she's "different" but in a "very good way."

Jenni said she was "excited," but wanted assurance that she'd be able to maintain a long-distance relationship with Brad if she were to win, as she currently works in Phoenix.

"If the feelings are real, what does it matter?" responded Brad.

"I want to be the person that you fall in love with," Jenni then told him, and Brad realized she was there for the same reason as him, to find a "long-term" relationship.  Stephy then stole some alone time with Brad, explaining how she hasn't been in a relationship for five year, which she thought was "pathetic."

As the circus began, the master-of-ceremony introduced the Brad -- who he called "the sexiest Bachelor yet" -- as well as the bachelorettes to the audience before they took their seats.  Brad was also the "official guest ringmaster," a position he said made him feel like the "king of the world."

In the middle of the show, Brad pulled McCarten out to spend some quality time with her.  He felt he was getting a "friend-vibe" from her, which she said was incorrect.  Instead, she explained how she's confident in their feelings for each other and doesn't need the security of receiving a rose on the group date.  Brad thought McCarten's outlook was "refreshing" -- and she likened it to walking the tightrope -- "some people need a net and some people don't."

Back at the mansion serving as the girls' home during filming for The Bachelor 11, Hillary, a 27-year-old registered nurse from Philadelphia, PA, learned she would be accompanying Brad on the one-on-one date, and was "so excited."  As the first group date came to a close, Brad decided to present the rose to Stephy because she "really put herself out there" during their conversation.

"I was so excited about that rose," said Stephy.  "He is wonderful.  He is awesome in every aspect.  Getting the rose was just the icing on the cake, and I can't believe I got it in-front of the whole circus."

With the first group date in the books, Brad and Hillary began their one-on-one date.  Despite feeling "jittery," Hillary said she wants to "fall in love" with Brad and said she was going to do it by being "flirtatious" and "sexy," hoping to steal the first kiss from him but unaware that he's already kissed Jenni.

Brad gave Hillary a $1 million diamond Chopard necklace to wear on the date (she definitely had to give it back) before whisking her away to San Francisco, where she said she felt like a "princess" with Brad serving as the "prince."  Brad explained he likes Hillary because she's a "fun girl" who's "very nice, very sweet."

However Hillary took the one-one-one date to explain how she's "crazy in love" with Brad; how she's been "ready for this for a long time;" and is looking for someone to "potentially settle down with."  All of this was told to Brad through tears, and he tried to comfort and assure her it was going to be alright.  He said he was "taken back" by her seriousness because he "didn't expect it from her."

"I want to give my heart to someone.  I want to get married," continued Hillary as the tears kept streaming down her face.  Because she was showing her "true feelings" for him, Brad decided to give Hillary a rose instead of eliminate her from the competition.  The two shared dessert at a chocolate factory where she got the kiss she was hoping for.

"I'm one of those people that dive right in, and I'm falling in love with him," said Hillary.  "I want him to whisk me away and be like, 'You're the one!  Everybody else can go home!'"

Brad's second group date then began, and accompanying him were Solisa; Kristy, a 29-year-old acupuncturist from Chicago, IL; Sheena, a 23-year-old Internet marketing executive from Walnut Creek, CA; Bettina, a 27-year-old realtor from Washington, DC; and Jade, a 24-year-old boutique sales worker from Nashville, TN.  The girls learned they'd be going with Brad for an outing on a sailboat, and Kristy immediately saw it as an opportunity to show her "fun side" as opposed to her "serious side."  Brad described Kristy as a "friend" he's also "very attracted to."

After taking off her top and running down the beach during the previous group date she went on, Solisa decided to give Brad a lap dance because, as she explained it, shaking her butt "really fast" is the "only thing" she knows how to do.

"I know who I'm going to hire for his bachelor party," said Bettina.

Sheena and Brad then rode jet skis in the water, however her competitive side came out and she cut him off, causing her to be reprimanded by the harbor police and ending her fun.  Bettina hopped on the back of Brad's jet ski and the two then went for a ride.

"That's when I fell in love... on a wave runner," she said.  Brad told Bettina she's "everything" that he's looking for and began to dig a little bit into her past, which made her uncomfortable since she still hadn't told him that she's divorced.  Brad eventually asked if she's loyal and what happened in her last relationship.

"I was married to him..." said Bettina.  "I'm sorry?" asked Brad, as if he didn't hear her correctly.  "I was married to him... briefly.  It just wasn't right," she replied.

"I have to admit I was a little bit shocked.  I just did not expect that at all," said Brad, who then presented the rose for his second group date to Kristy because he was able to see her "fun" side.

"I think Brad was really surprised when I told him I was married before," said Bettina.  "It could ruin my chances with him for sure."

With the dates behind him, Brad's identical twin brother Chad arrived.  Brad described Chad as his "confidant" who he always turns to for advice.  In addition, Brad said he helped Chad find his wife, so he was hoping his twin brother could repay the favor by acting like Brad with the bachelorettes and seeing if they can tell it's not The Bachelor star.

"I want to know the girls that are here for me," explained Brad.  "I want to know who's attracted to me as a person... It will break my heart if none of these ladies are able to pick up on the fact that this is my twin brother they're talking to."

Brad watched from a monitor in the limousine as Chad spoke with each of the bachelorettes, describing his mood as both "nervous and anxious."  Sheena, Kristy, Bettina, DeAnna and Stephy all easily identified Chad as an imposter, but the same could not be said for Lindsey, McCarten and Sarah.  Brad seemed especially eager to learn if Sarah could tell the difference between the two because they had some "detailed conversations."

"She will be able to get this right away," said Brad.  "I know that in my heart."  Alas, while Sarah thought the man before her looked a "little different" and seemed more "laid back" than usual, she wasn't able to tell that it was Chad and not Brad.

"I feel like my alone time with Brad today wasn't what it usually is," explained a confused Sarah.  "I feel like I just wasn't myself at all... Maybe it was just my imagination, I don't know."  Brad then revealed the twist to the bachelorettes, and some were glad they were able to figure it out while others were surprised.

"I had no idea that he ha a twin brother," said Lindsey.  "But I definitely think it's a possibility that talking to Chad could get me a rose.  Absolutely."

After some deliberation with Chad, Brad and the bachelorettes participated in The Bachelor 11's third Rose Ceremony.  The nine women who received roses and remained in the running for Brad's heart were Hillary, Stephy, Kristy, Sheena, McCarten, Jenni, Jade, DeAnna and Bettina.

"I honestly have no idea what went wrong," said Sarah after her ouster.  "I feel like that twin thing just through me off... I mean he didn't feel like it was right, then he didn't feel like it was right, and maybe I'll go home and meet the man of my dreams.  I don't know."

"It's just upsetting because I feel like I had a stronger connection with him than anybody else did," explained Solisa.  "I was a little lore truthful and honest about who I was because he did see the special parts of me because I wear those special parts on the outside.  It's just those special parts weren't parts that he was looking for unfortunately."

The Bachelor 11's next episode will air Monday, October 15 at 10PM ET/PT on ABC.
