Long Island restaurant owner Dominick Pierno's claim that he is currently dating Gia Allemand is apparently news to the recently ousted The Bachelor bachelorette.

"I'm actually going to have my first date next week," Allemand said during a Thursday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show when host Ellen DeGeneres asked whether she is currently dating,

"[It's] my first date in a while, so I'm excited."

Pierno had told The New York Post that he has been dating Allemand "on-and-off for two years" earlier this week.

"She was on the show and said she broke up with me. Meanwhile, we had dinner at Philippe the other night," he said.

Allemand was one of the last three The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love bachelorettes still in the running to receive The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka's final rose, however he eliminated her during Monday night's penultimate broadcast.

"It took me a while [to get over Jake] when I got home. I didn't really go out much.  I didn't go out," Allemand told DeGeneres.

"Well you can't go out, because you can't really reveal if he picked out or now, right?" DeGeneres asked.  "You have to be careful, so there's no way you can flirt or be with anybody."

"Yeah, but even if I could I really couldn't have anyways, in that state of mind, with my heart broken and everything," Allemand replied.

"I was watching the show on Monday night I was like hysterical in my hotel room," she said.  "I was like 'Oh my god, this really hurt!'"
