'Survivor: Pearl Islands' draws best ratings since premiere, knocks off 'Friends' for the first time since 'Survivor: Australia'

According to Nielsen preliminary affiliate based ratings for October 30, the evening's Survivor: Pearl Islands episode was the most watched and highest rated in Adults 18-49 Survivor: Pearl Islands broadcast since its September premiere.

Survivor: Pearl Islands was first in viewers (20.66 million), Adults 25-54 (9.3/23) and second in households (12.0/19, -0.4 behind NBC), and Adults 18-49 (7.7/20).

Survivor won the 8:00-8:30 half-hours in Adults 25-54 (8.8/22) and viewers (19.88m), topping a first run Friends (8.6/22, 18.61m) for the first time since May 3, 2001 finale of Survivor: The Australian Outback. Survivor was also in its most competitive position to Friends in Adults 18-49 (-1.3 ratings points) since May 3, 2001.

Survivor was up at 8:30PM +7% in households (12.4/19 from 11.6/19), +11% in Adults 25-54 (9.8/23 from 8.8/22), +13% in Adults 18-49 (8.1/21 from 7.2/20) and added +1.56m viewers (21.44m from 19.88m) from the 8:00 PM delivery.

This is Survivor: Pearl Island's best delivery in Adults 18-49 and most watched episode since its September 18, 2003 premiere.
