'Simple Life' star Paris Hilton tops PETA's 2005 worst dressed list

The animal activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has named socialite Paris Hilton its worst dressed celebrity of 2005.

"Now we know what happens to all of Paris Hilton's cast-off pets," PETA said of "The Simple Life" star's fur wardrobe.

Hilton's friend, model Kimberly Stewart, ranked second on the annual list, posted on the group's Web site, www.PETA.org.

The No. 3 and No. 4 spots are occupied by reality TV show stars Lisa Gastineau and Victoria Gotti, with actress Tara Reid checking in at No. 5.

PETA hailed three celebs missing from last year's list -- Victoria Beckham, Alicia Keyes and former No. 1 Martha Stewart.

PETA noted Stewart says on FurIsDead.com: "I used to wear real fur, but, like many others, I had a change of heart when I learned what actually happens to the animals."
