McCain was responding to a comment that Polizzi made during a preview for Jersey Shore's second season, which premieres Thursday, July 29 at 10PM ET/PT.
In the preview, Polizzi opines the fact that President Barack Obama's federal health care overhaul is partly funded via a 10% tax on tanning-bed services.
"McCain would never put a 10 percent tax on tanning, because he's pale and he would probably want to be tan," said Polizzi in the clip.
After the 73-year-old McCain -- a skin cancer survivor -- acknowledged Polizzi via Twitter, she did the same.
"Haha Yes!!" she replied.
