The network has ordered nine episodes of the reality investigation series for broadcast in Fall 2009.

Destination Truth's third season will continue to follow adventurer and truth-seeker Josh Gates as he visits various global destinations that harbor some of the world's most notorious, supernatural and mysterious stories.

In addition to searching for evidence and talking to witnesses and experts, Gates and his small production crew also immerse themselves in the local culture as they try to debunk or prove the area's unexplained mysteries.

Some of the locations Destination Truth will visit during the show's third season will include the ghost towns of Chernobyl, a mysterious lake in eastern Turkey, the Bermuda Triangle, and another visit to the Himalayas -- where Gates will resume his second-season search for evidence that the area's yeti creature actually exists.

Destination Truth's third season will also visit Florida and Alaska for the show's U.S.-based investigations.

Destination Truth is executive produced by Brad Kuhlman for Ping Pong Productions.
