Nicole Richie is reportedly planning to go on the hunt for a new reality star whom she'll mold in her image.

The former The Simple Life star has been shopping a new reality series that would take seven girls from across the country and test their ability to achieve celebrity status for a shot at having their own reality show, an executive who has heard Richie's pitch told Entertainment Weekly in a Tuesday report.

The reality series would follow Richie and a panel of judges as they narrowed down the contestants, one of whom would be awarded her own reality show during the finale.

At least three cable networks are interested in Richie's series, EW reported.

Richie's been busy with her personal life since The Simple Life's final season aired last summer on E!, as the 26-year-old and her boyfriend -- Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden -- welcomed their first child together earlier this year.

Her former The Simple Life co-star Paris Hilton is currently in the process of making her own return to reality television, as Hilton is filming Paris Hilton's My New BFF -- a new MTV reality competition series that will follow her quest to find a new best friend.
