Jon Gosselin's well-known "female friend" could reportedly become a familiar face on Jon & Kate Plus 8.

Deanna Hummel, the 23-year-old school teacher who allegedly had an affair with Gosselin, is expected to appear on Jon & Kate Plus 8 when filming for the TLC reality series resumes, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

"Deanna's role isn't expected to be big, but because she's part of Jon's life, she'll be filmed," an "insider" told the Daily News.

Monday night's heavily-hyped Jon & Kate Plus 8 broadcast featured Jon and Kate Gosselin publicly announcing that they will be separating and TLC subsequently announced that the show will air a retrospective of the couple's ten-year marriage on Monday, June 29 before going on hiatus for four weeks until it returns on August 3.

TLC president Eileen O'Neill has previously stated there is no "hard date" for when Jon & Kate Plus 8 will resume filming following the hiatus, and no mention of Hummel's inclusion has been made by the network.

"We have no specific plans for future episodes," a TLC spokeswoman told the Daily News.

Jon's alleged relationship with Hummel became public when Us Weekly published a cover story report in which the pair where photographed leaving a Pennsylvania club alone at 2AM on April 18.

The allegations involving Jon and Hummel resurfaced the next week when Us published a follow-up cover story report in which Deanna's brother Jason Hummel told the magazine its earlier report was correct and he could confirm the pair have been having an affair for the past few months.

Both Jon and Deanna have repeatedly denied they are romantically involved and are only friends.   Last weekend, Jon told a group of paparazzi and fans assembled outside his home on Father's Day that he has seen her "not as much" lately.
