But it turns out Horst may be onto something, as the 26-year-old San Francisco social worker has reportedly admitted that she receives the final rose from the 30-year-old U.S. Navy Lieutenant during Officer and a Gentleman's finale. "Apparently he proposes and she declines, but they are still very much together," a "Page Six spy" told the New York Post's gossip columnists after allegedly having "a few drinks" with Horst a few days ago. During The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman's first six episodes, Horst has been portrayed as deliberately cautious and hesitant to show her true feelings for Baldwin out of fear of being hurt -- a concern that, if the Post report is accurate, is presumably also behind her reluctance to jump into an engagement with Baldwin even after she wins his heart. Before the show premiered, Baldwin had already gushed that he finds love during his The Bachelor experience and revealed that he'll propose to one of the bachelorettes during Officer and a Gentleman's special two-hour finale on Monday, May 21 at 9PM ET/PT on ABC. Baldwin's proposal will mark the first time in four seasons and only the second in its last seven editions that The Bachelor will end with its bachelor proposing to his final bachelorette. The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman's penultimate episode will air on Monday, May 14 at 9:30PM ET/PT on ABC. In addition to Horst, Bevin Powers, a 28-year-old clinic research coordinator who currently resides in Palo Alto, CA, and Danielle Imwalle, a 25-year-old graphic designer who currently resides in Bethel, CT, remain in the running for Baldwin's final rose. |
