'Queer Eye' to makeover Boston Red Sox player Kevin Millar
UPI News Service, 02/27/2005
Kevin Millar, Boston's Red Sox baseman not known for his fashion sense, is in negotiations to appear on Bravo's "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."
"They wanted to shave my head. I said no," Millar reportedly said. But he agreed to allow the "Fab Five" to work on his face, toes, nails and his wardrobe, the New York Daily News reported.
The episode, in which five gay men makeover a heterosexual man, would be filmed during spring training and would incorporate a makeover of a Little League baseball field in Port Charlotte, Fla., the Daily News said. The field was destroyed hurricanes last year.
Millar describes himself as a casual dresser, who often wears t-shirt driven ensembles with baseball caps.
