A Philippino newspaper reports that the President of the Philippines has announced that "Survivor" will be filming "Survivor 6" on an undisclosed location on Siquijor Island in the Philippines.
President Arroyo told reporters in a luncheon meeting in Siargao Island on Wednesday that she has been told that "Survivor" will begin shooting in the infamous island next month. When asked to comment on the islandís reputation as a haven for manananggals, or bat-winged man-eating folk, the President just laughed and maintained that she was pleased with the location choice. President Arroyo noted that the agreement would generate over P3 million in taxes for the provincial government and boost its potential as a tourist destination.
Siquijor Island has long been associated with black magic and sorcery, as it is believed to be a haven for those practicing witchcraft.
