Paula Abdul has confirmed that she and fellow former American Idol judge Simon Cowell have discussed working together again.

"He always talks to me about, 'We will work together somehow, some way,' and he's an acquired taste but I love him very much," the Live To Dance star said during a Tuesday appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Leno noted that Cowell had recently referred to himself as a "massive" fan of Abdul when asked about the possibility that she might join him on the judging panel of his new American edition of his The X Factor singing competition, however Abdul joked that he should have used the phrase "obsessive" instead.

Abdul then reluctantly admitted that despite their differences, she does miss Cowell.

"Of course, I miss everybody. I miss Simon. I do," Abdul said.

In addition, Abdul also revealed the former Idol judges share something else in common: neither has seen a full episode of the current season featuring Randy Jackson and new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez yet.

However, similar to Cowell, Abdul believes the new Idol judging panel will be successful.

"I have seen some little clips and they look like they're having a blast... I think it's a good combination," Abdul explained.
