NBC replacing 'Last Comic Standing' host Jay Mohr with Anthony Clark

UPI News Service, 03/02/2006

CBS's "Yes, Dear" star Anthony Clark has been tapped to replace Jay Mohr as host of the NBC reality competition "Last Comic Standing."

Clark was a judge during the early rounds of "Last Comic Standing 2," Zap2it.com noted Thursday.

The fate of "Yes, Dear" is up in the air at CBS. The show disappeared midway into its sixth season and CBS has not said anything about its return, Zap2it.com said.

Original "Last Comic" host Mohr publicly lashed out at NBC for rushing "Last Comic 3" onto its fall schedule in 2004. The all-star edition drew dismal ratings and NBC pulled it a week before the finale, which eventually aired on Comedy Central.

"Last Comic Standing 4" is set to air on NBC during the summer.
