MTV & Roxy's 'Surf Girls' to premiere May 12th at 10:30PM

Variety reports that "Surf Girls," a new weekly, 30-minute reality project that we reported on earlier, will premiere May 12, 2003 at 10:30PM.

The program is a partnership between MTV and surf company Quiksilver's offshoot Roxy and it will follow 15 contestants as they tour surfing locations around the world, train for competitions and compete for a professional sponsorship deal.

Directed at young women, the show will feature girls wearing a lot of Roxy clothes and accessories.
