Married at First Sight star Tristan Thompson is contemplating whether he should remain married to Mia Bally after she was caught in a web of lies following her arrest in new promo clips.

In a pair of clips released by E! News and RadarOnline for Married at First Sight's upcoming seventh-season episode on Lifetime, Tristan is shown venting to Pastor Calvin Roberson about how Mia failed to be completely truthful with him about the reasons behind her detainment.

"It's been tough. Things are going from the wedding -- excitement -- to basically bombs being dropped everyday about something new about Mia," Tristan explained in a clip.

"To me, marriage should be built on trust and honesty. If you have that, I believe there's no problem that you can't handle," he shared.

"But Mia has been lying to me and it's hardly been a week. With that trust broken, I'm just not sure if I'm able to stay in this marriage."

The marriage of Mia, a 29-year-old airline recruiter, and Tristan, a 29-year-old former collegiate and semi-pro basketball player who recently started a tutoring business, got off to a good start until Mia was detained in a Texas airport for questioning when the couple was traveling to Cancun, Mexico for their honeymoon.

Mia subsequently spent two days in custody until she could reunite with her concerned and overwhelmed husband.

While Mia was gone, Tristan obtained a copy of an arrest warrant that had been issued in early February for her arrest.

Jared Evans, an alleged ex-boyfriend, reportedly claimed Mia had stalked him on multiple occasions in the 13 months that followed their December 2016 break-up and also made an unauthorized purchase of an Apple iPhone on his credit card a year after their split.

When Mia was finally released from custody, she gave Married at First Sight's cameras an explanation that was a bit strange and confusing, saying the allegations against her in the arrest warrant were "100 percent false" and the situation was the result of "a complete mistake of identity."

Mia also told Tristan that she didn't personally know the man who had filed the stalking claims. But another conversation was apparently had off-camera, when Mia came clean to her new husband.

"Secrets kill and I said, 'Mia, please just get it all out there because the trust had been broken. What else had you lied about? What else are you keeping from me?'" Tristan continued in a promo clip.

"I wanted to be married because more than anything, I wanted to build a future with someone special," Tristan later said in a confessional.

"It was important to find love, because that's what I've always wanted. I felt like I found that wit Mia, but instead, she lied to me and I feel betrayed."

Mia's confession apparently made Tristan wonder whether she was hiding anything else, or if there was more unflattering information to discover.

"Because I don't even know since I'm getting bits and pieces of the story," Tristan noted. "So how deep is it? I don't want to keep living in this pain."

Dr. Pepper Schwartz said in the second preview clip that Tristan had been "told an untrue version of what happened" to Mia and the experts needed to find out the truth as well in order to successfully counsel the couple.
