Married at First Sight star Olivia Cornu says her husband Brett Lindsey's sarcasm is incredibly annoying and frustrating, especially when she's trying to have a serious conversation with him.

Olivia, a 30-year-old nurse practitioner from Bossier City, LA, and Brett, a 35-year-old with a career in information technology from Gretna, LA, were matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson to wed on Season 11 of the Lifetime reality series.

During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Olivia watched back a Season 11 clip in which she and Brett attempted to do an exercise provided for them by the show's experts.

The couple was required to ask each other questions about love, and Olivia asked her husband in the clip, "How are you going to actively fall in love in this relationship?"

"Obviously sexy underwear dances, I mean, that's a given -- and reminding you about flossing," Brett replied.

When Olivia asked Brett to answer "for real," he went on to say, "Fireworks displays and sick jumps with my BMX bike."

On Unfiltered, host Jamie Otis, who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight, asked Olivia what it was like watching that footage back.

"You know, it's kind of hard. The sarcasm really gets to me," Olivia admitted.

"There's a time to joke and have fun and there's a time to be sarcastic and joking, but when we're trying to grow our relationship and figure out how we're going to navigate this and learn more about each other, it's very, very annoying and frustrating."

Olivia's Married at First Sight co-star Amani joined her on Unfiltered and was asked how she would react if her husband Woody Randall was that sarcastic all the time.

"Slap him?" Olivia asked Amani with a laugh.

Amani replied with laughter, "I probably would, yeah."

On a more serious note, Amani explained, "I would be upset because I'm here to get to know you and we're married, so I don't want to just play all the time."

"So that would be annoying," Amani added. "I would probably be frustrated. Olivia handled it a lot calmer than I would have."

"Same," responded Jamie, who is still married to her MAFS match, Doug Hehner.

On the Married at First Sight episode when Brett ignored or deflected Olivia's questions, Olivia vented to the cameras how she couldn't stand Brett's behavior.

"Talking with Brett about love is exhausting. I feel like there's a time and a place for sarcasm, but being sarcastic all the time makes it very hard for me to understand what his views on love are," Olivia explained in a confessional.

"Sometimes I feel like I'm pulling teeth and just trying to get him to express himself and let me know how he feels."

Brett's family warned Olivia on her wedding day that Brett is extremely sarcastic and she would fit in great with their family if she can come to understand and appreciate Brett's humor.

Olivia had a crush on her husband early on, but she admitted to Amani on Day 19 of the Married at First Sight experiment that she just wasn't feeling butterflies or feelings of love for Brett.

In fact, Olivia was questioning why the experts had even matched them to begin with.

The main issue seemed to be that Brett enjoys staying at his home with his cats and saving money for retirement while Olivia was looking for a husband who would join her on adventures and participate in activities such as sporting events and romantic dinners out.

Marriage wasn't coming easy for Olivia, so she thought it would be best to try to bond with Brett over inexpensive outings.

Olivia therefore suggested to Brett they should go on an airboat ride in the Louisiana swamp together and then Brett took Olivia rock climbing in the latest Married at First Sight episode.

"We're making large strides in the small things that we do, and that's making me optimistic about our future together," Olivia shared.

But Olivia's marriage optimism faltered when she and Brett went to a bar to play trivia with Olivia's friends.

Olivia believed Brett was full of random knowledge, but he didn't seem to know the answers to any of the questions. Brett didn't really participate or help out, and the cameras caught him seemingly bored and yawning at one point.

"The fact Brett's not trying makes me feel like he doesn't care," Olivia griped, adding that Brett wasn't trying to connect with her friends.

In addition to Olivia, Brett, Amani and Woody, Married at First Sight's eleventh season also stars Henry Rodriguez, Christina, Amelia Fatsi, Bennett Kirschner, Miles Williams, and Karen Landry.

Married at First Sight currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
