Married at First Sight star Kirsten Grimes has slammed Shaquille Dillon for having an "ego" and also revealed what she thinks his real problem was in their marriage.

With only a few days to go until Decision Day, Shaquille and Kirsten both seemed unsure of whether they felt fulfilled and wanted to stay married to each other for the long haul, but Kirsten was the one still fighting to save their relationship.

Kirsten therefore confronted Shaquille about his cold and often unsettling demeanor towards her, and she admitted that she wanted Shaquille to be happy to see her and make her feel liked and wanted.

During the May 3 episode of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Kirsten if Shaquille was still physically attracted and connected to her heading into Decision Day.

"For the most part, I do feel like Shaquille and I are still having a little bit of an issue as far as attraction [goes], because I definitely feel like his ego was damaged a little bit and that kind of makes it difficult for us to grow together," Kirsten claimed.

Kirsten then watched back a Season 16 clip of a conversation she had with her brother William at a restaurant.

"When we're together, I don't feel like we're having enough intentional conversations," Kirsten complains to her sibling.

"Like, 'Where do we see this marriage going? What are our plans after this experience is over, like our living situation?' I just don't."

Kirsten elaborates, "I don't feel like he's trying to win me over. I don't think he's interested in being in this marriage with me."

Kirsten told Keshia that after talking to her brother, she was "still feeling doubtful" about the future of her marriage, adding, "Because Shaquille is just not giving me what I need."

Kirsten felt like she and Shaquille were "disconnected," as if they were simply existing with each other but not touching, talking or playing.

Keshia therefore asked what Shaquille needed to do to make Kirsten feel like he's trying to win her over.

"He really needs to show me that. If he wants to be with me, he needs to tell me that," Kirsten explained.

"There are certain things you can do to swoop a woman off her feet, you know? Like, 'Hey, let's go to the movies today,' or calling me and saying, 'Hey, how are you doing? Is your day going well?' Just the small things -- like being intentional and being connected."

"It's all about that connection," the real estate agent added. "It's the small things."

And Kirsten accused Shaquille of "avoiding" conversations about their future altogether.

"I'm asking him, like, 'What do you think about Decision Day? What do you think your decision is going to be?' I've actually been vulnerable in trying to talk about it," Kirsten revealed on Afterparty.

She continued, "I really feel like what is making him down about this marriage is the whole Memphis ordeal."

Kirsten was referring to Shaquille's work trip to Memphis earlier in the season, when he was working to recruit students and Kirsten stayed home in Nashville, TN.

"I don't know if he got past me not traveling to Memphis with him," Kirsten disclosed.

Keshia pointed out how Shaquille really needed to let that go and move forward.

"Tell me about it!" Kirsten vented.

"And that's what we're going through throughout our marriage the entire time, are those Roadblocks. I'm like, 'If we continue to have those Roadblocks and not overcome them, how can we continue to stay married?'"

Kirsten reiterated how Shaquille "definitely" needed "to let it go" and forget about the issues they had in the past.

"I think he's struggling with that throughout this marriage, is releasing things," Kirsten noted.

Kirsten, who had reached her breaking point, said she told Shaquille that they needed to move forward or else their relationship was going to fail.

"Shaquille always takes everything so personal," Kirsten said.

But Kirsten insisted, "I'm still willing to work through this marriage to see if it could possibly change after filming and everything is done. I have a little hope."

"I really feel like I understand why we were matched together... You have to continue to put forth effort," she continued.

Kirsten therefore said she had no intention of giving up on her husband or their relationship.

"No matter how down Shaquille gets, no matter if things do or don't work out, I'm always going to continue putting in the effort and work everything out. But I can only do so much as a person," Kirsten shared. "He has to do the same thing too."

On last week's episode of Married at First Sight's sixteenth season, apartment-camera footage showed Shaquille coming home and walking right by Kirsten in the kitchen without a word.

"Want me to fix you some salmon and broccoli?" Kirsten confronts her husband after feeling ignored and slighted.

"I'm fine," he snaps back.

And then when Kirsten asks how he's doing, Shaquille replies, "I'm alright."

Kirsten therefore concludes in her confrontation, "Why are we here? Do we like each other? What's going on?!"

"We never had a conversation about it," Shaquille explains, "and I didn't know you felt like that."

Kirsten came to the conclusion that Shaquille was trying to juggle so many things at once -- including his career and school -- that he was having trouble focusing on their relationship and finding a balance.

Kirsten acknowledged, however, how she could also take more initiative to welcome Shaquille into her family and make him feel accepted. As a result, Kirsten planned a family gathering at the couple's apartment, but only her mother showed up.

Shaquille admitted to Kirsten's mother that he wasn't being the best version of himself and he had built walls up once Kirsten finally let her guard down.

Shaquille noted how he needed to change his behavior, and Kirsten's mother advised them both to live in the moment and stop "expecting" so much from each other.
