TLC has announced it's ordered a new reality series, which is currently untitled, starring the former King of Queens star and The Talk co-host as well as her family.

"Leah is a no-nonsense, hard-working, relatable mom, wife, daughter, and sister. Her sharp humor and unfiltered family are a perfect match for the network," the network's general manager Nancy Daniels said in a statement.

"This series continues our focus on creating compelling series about remarkable families, using heart and humor to anchor it to the TLC brand."

The series will feature Remini, an "overachiever" in the entertainment industry and Brooklyn native who resides in Los Angeles; her husband of 10 years Angelo, who helps run their family's diner; the couple's "feisty" nine-year-old daughter Sofia, who keeps her parents "in check;" her "opinionated" mother and "eccentric" stepfather; and Remini's sister-in-law and brother-in-law, according to TLC.

Remini will also be surrounded by her work team -- including her "wisecracking" housekeeper, Sofia's "brash" British nanny, and Remini's personal assistant.

The network has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of Remini's new show, which is being produced by Gurney Productions and is scheduled to premiere this summer.

Remini competed on Dancing with the Stars' most recent seventeenth season with professional partner Tony Dovolani. The pair became the eighth couple eliminated from the competition, finishing the edition in fifth place.
