Khloe Kardashian sources have reiterated a split from husband Lamar Odom appears all but certain.

"She just doesn't know if she can work this out," a Kardashian friend told People.

"It doesn't seem like a reconciliation is any closer to happening. It's like the situation is just too far gone at this point for a split to be anything but unavoidable."

Odom has been at the center of controversy since this summer in regards to his alleged cheating affairs, crack cocaine addiction, smoking binges, DUI arrest and charge, brief rehab stint, and as a result, failing marriage.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star -- who's been married to Odom for four years and had always defended him up until several weeks ago -- admitted on Tuesday, "I'm trying my best," to get through these difficult times.

"Two years ago, Khloe thought they'd be married with two kids," added the friend. "There's still a lot of uncertainty."

Family sources told the New York Daily News in late August a Kardashian, 29, and Odom, 33, divorce is "imminent," and Kris Jenner was taking the lead on the process because Kardashian was "too emotional" and still hoped to "save" her husband.

"Kim, Kourtney and Kris want her to dump him. You can't live with a drug addict," a family source told the newspaper at the time.
