"Lamar wanted to spend Thanksgiving with his father and so he didn't spend it with Khloe," a source told E! News.

Lamar's father, Joe Odom, allegedly doesn't have a great relationship with the Kardashian clan, "so instead, Lamar spent the day with his dad and good friends."

As for Lamar's NBA basketball career, the free-agent forward, is close to signing a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers team coached by Doc Rivers, espn.com reported.

"I wouldn't say a deal [with the Clippers] is imminent, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen," an insider told espn.com.

The E! News source is claiming Lamar, 34, has just finished training at the University of Rhode Island and is "doing really, really well."

"He is in great shape, he is going to be playing with the Clippers. He should be starting later this month," added the source.

Lamar and Khloe, 29, have reportedly been going to counseling to address their marriage issues since reports have swirled for months Lamar had a drug addiction and cheated on the reality TV star with multiple women.

The couple has been married for four years and recently spotted at events together such as a Kanye West concert in October and Kris Jenner's birthday celebration late last month.

Before news surfaced Khloe and Lamar are trying to mend their union, in prior weeks, reports claimed a divorce was imminent for the pair and it was only a matter of time until Khloe filed the paperwork.
