MTV has announced it has ordered Jersey Shore Family Vacation, a new reality series that will star most of Jersey Shore's original cast members and premiere in 2018.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation will star every person whom fans have come to love from the series except for Samantha "Sammi Sweetheart" Giancola.

The returning Jersey Shore cast members will be Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

Jersey Shore is returning to the network with a seventh season after five years off the air. Jersey Shore ran from December 2009 to December 2012 and followed a group of young adults partying hard in the Garden State.

All the cast members who will be reprising their role on Family Vacation starred on Seasons 1 through 6 of Jersey Shore, except for Deena, who began appearing on the series in Season 3.

An official premiere date for Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which is being created by SallyAnn Salsano and produced by 495 Productions, has yet to be announced.

When Jersey Shore initially aired on MTV, it peaked in 2011 and averaged nine million viewers per episode. The show went on to have several spinoffs, including Snooki & Jwoww and The Show with Vinny.

The Jersey Shore cast recently reunited for an E! docu-reality series called Reunion Road Trip, which likely sparked MTV's interest in the new Family Vacation series.

The Shore franchise has recently expanded to destinations around the world -- including Geordie Shore in the UK, Gandia Shore in Spain, Warsaw Shore in Poland, and Acapulco Shore in Mexico.

Floribama Shore also just premiered on MTV.
