Jennifer Hudson finishes 2006 with a sold out New York concert

The up and coming "Dreamgirls" star, Jennifer Hudson, has finished off 2006 with a sold out concert at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.

She mostly performed songs from the new hit movie, in which she plays singer Effie White, but also sang a few songs from "American Idol," People magazine reported Monday.
She also performed the song that she belted out just before being eliminated from the TV show, "Weekend in New England."
Hudson, 25, told People that she is looking forward to moving into her own place in 2007.
She also talked about her newfound fame, reported People.
