Former Project Runway 2 finalist Kara Janx has gotten married. Janx wed longtime boyfriend Sharone Sohayegh on January 14 in Cape Town, South Africa, People reported on its website last week.
Janx and Sohayegh met when she moved to the U.S. nine years ago and lived in the same lower Manhattan apartment building as him. They started dating in 2003, two years before Janx would appear on the second season of Bravo's Emmy-nominated fashion reality series Project Runway, which she finished fourth on. Sohayegh, a 27-year-old New Jersey native, proposed to Janx in February 2006, just days before New York Fashion Week.
The newlyweds plan on living in New York City, where Sohayegh is a commercial real estate broker and Janx runs her "eponymous" clothing line, which features the popular jersey kimono-style dress she created and wore on Project Runway.
