Bravo has announced that the second edition of its Project Runway reality series will premiere in December and revealed the identities of the contestants who will be competing in the Emmy-nominated fashion reality show's new season.

Like its first season, Project Runway's second season, which will premiere Wednesday, December 7 at 10PM ET/PT, will once again be hosted by new mom Heidi Klum and feature clothing designer Michael Kors and Elle Magazine fashion director Nina Garcia as part of the show's judging panel. Tim Gunn, Chair of the Parsons The New School For Design where the contestants will compete in weekly design challenges, will also return and help guide the contestants through the competition. Just as in its initial season, contestants will be eliminated weekly until Project Runway's three finalists face off at New York Fashion Week in February.

Unlike last season, Project Runway 2 will feature sixteen contestants -- an increase from the first season's cast of twelve. First season judge Anne Slowey will also not return, with her role filled by a rotating series of challenge-specific guest judges. The show's first season success also means that the new season will be packed with product placements, with L'Oreal Paris, Saturn, TRESemme, Banana Republic and Orbitz having all signed on as Project Runway 2 sponsors.

Like its first season, Project Runway's second season winner will receive a photo spread in Elle Magazine, $100,000 in seed money (donated by Saturn) to help them launch their own fashion line, and a mentorship from the Banana Republic Design Team. Taking a page from Survivor, Project Runway 2 will also award a 2007 Saturn Sky Roadster to its winner.
