Former 'American Idol' finalist Chris Sligh expecting first child

The release date of Chris Sligh's upcoming album isn't his only big news.

The former American Idol sixth-season finalist and his wife Sarah are expecting their first child.

"It's a Sligh Baby Bump!" wrote Sligh in a recent post to his Twitter account that included a photo of the couple.

The baby girl -- which they have already named Keira Lennon Sligh -- is due in October.

Sligh was the third finalist eliminated from American Idol's sixth season in 2007.

His upcoming album -- "The Anatomy Of Broken" -- is currently slated to drop on September 14 on the Warner Brothers/Word record label.

The album's first single, "Only You Can Save," will be released for radio play later this month.
